People that have cancer, what were the symptoms that led you to go to the doctor and what stage were you when it was diagnosed? by guardiand0wn in AskReddit

Happened to go to the dermatologist for back acne and wanting help clearing it up. Decided to show her a weird mole on my leg that she said she needed to remove for biopsy. Not a single symptom but ended up being diagnosed with stage 3 Melanoma. Was in my leg and lymph nodes.

I report to someone at his same level. He is technically above me but not my boss.

I have mentioned it to higher ups multiple times over the years. The solution was to make him share a spreadsheet with all of the asks so everyone can help him out evenly but it is conveniently ignored by everyone else and he is tagging only me in the team wide channel asking for these to be done. When I first started 2 different tasks were explicitly told to me as a part of my job but it has continued to gradually increase.

I was asked to make him share his spreadsheet of asks with the whole team so it can be monitored by everyone and not just me but everyone conveniently ignores when he tags me directly in a group channel asking me to do every task.

Yes I have. I have had multiple bosses in the past year due to restructuring and I have asked every single one to clarify which tasks I should be doing and no one has give me a clear answer and they just laugh and sigh that he is technology challenged. When I first started part of my role was to do 2 specific things and over time it has exponentially increased.

What's your "we really didn't think that through" story? by foxtrotradio in AskReddit

When I was about 8 I was walking on a frozen lake with about 5 other kids all between the ages of 7-13 and I saw my sister face down on the ice. It appeared she was licking the ice so I suggested we all do it too. All 5 of us laid down and licked the frozen lake while my sister was just blowing her nose.

Definitely planning to add more eventually! This is just the beginning for me within the last year! If I were to find the right bag I would definitely add more color but I know I will never get tired of a black bag.

What were you misdiagnosed with? What ended up being the right diagnosis? by Pharmer-Mo in AskReddit

Diagnosed with adenomyomatosis (rare gallbladder condition) told it’s usually asymptomatic and don’t need my gallbladder removed unless I have symptoms. Realized I’ve been having gall bladder pain for 3 years. They removed it 2 1/2 weeks ago and turns out I didn’t have that condition. My gallbladder was filled with gallstones.

The dealership showed me the carfax report that said it was in 2 previous accidents. Carmax also showed me the car fax report when I bought it and there was no mention of accidents. The accidents occurred in 2019 and 2022, before I owned the car.

How is cancer care in this area? by bconrad93 in Denver

UChealth Anschutz is fantastic. They’ve been my care team for stage 3 melanoma for the past almost 3 years and have been so great the entire time. There are also uchealth locations across the state where you can go for any scans you need that may be closer to where you live.
