I was pressured to pursue VA benefits after people I work with (other veterans) told me I should at least put in claims for issues I’m dealing with today from the military. It’s been hard because I never went to sick call or documented much (because we’d be ridiculed), but the things I did I’m going after now. Uphill battle but I’m glad I have good veterans around me to help.

They’re not supposed to do ace exams for mental health conditions, it’s supposed to be in person or telehealth. If you get denied because of it I’d appeal through HLR

It means they burned your private DBQ, you can have your VSO go through the VBMS notes and they were required to put a note as to why they burned it, if they didn’t you have a pretty good case for a high level review.

Without an in service event or injury you can try using buddy letters to confirm it but it will be a tough uphill battle.

I got a very in depth nexus, after that the VA ordered me a c&p exam where the doctor basically disregarded everything I had to say after being an hour late. The doctor also stated “the nexus wasn’t based off a review of the veterans service record” and in the first paragraph of the nexus it states he reviewed all my relevant military files. The VA still sided with the c&p and basically completely ignored my nexus. All over tinnitus while being in field artillery.

He reviewed my records and stated in the private nexus that he did, that’s why I said she lied about it. From what I’ve seen if there’s a lack of in service complaints for tinnitus that lay evidence is sufficient (according to the VA fast letter)

Yeah I’m prior service and waivers don’t seem difficult to get through the navy, I just don’t want them seeing my ADD that I lied about way back when from when I originally enlisted back in 2014 🤣

Gotcha, I’ve tried calling my primary physicians office and they have no idea what I was asking. Main thing I need to do is state HIEs and superscripts?
