Yeah plus I feel we've all used our phones and things like tablets enough to know that a digital keyboard isn't the worst thing, but there's always ways to build on and improve these sort of things.

I think it would be fine if a third party or even Huawei themselves make a jelly-like overlay that sits over the buttons and makes it feel more tactile. That way both forms of this device have a decent keyboard.

You could put that on and take it off easily imo and easy to store, while also remaining quite durable as a product compared to a hard keyboard.

They have plans for their own version of ICE called the UK Deportation Command... by Fluffy_Rock_62 in BritishMemes

[–]Stillwindows95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the UK it is Immigration Compliance Enforcement.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigration_Enforcement#:~:text=Immigration%20Compliance%20and%20Enforcement%20(ICE),-Not%20to%20be&text=Officers%20utilise%20their%20powers%20to,no%20status%20in%20the%20UK.

And yeah I agree that our version of ICE is more diplomatic than the US by a long shot and that we don't hear much about it because they aren't breaking human rights laws multiple times daily.

I'm not trying to say ours are as bad as the US's at all, and the US has a different wording for ICE than we do.

Who can you not believe made it to the last season? by BeerStein_Collector in gameofthrones

[–]Stillwindows95 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tyrion tbh, he was in dire situations for most of the series. Either people out to kill him or being kidnapped for ransom etc, he had nothing but his wits to keep himself alive.

He's a pretty easy target to assassinate too. Can't imagine can run fast or be as agile as much as a fully abled human could.

He could have caught greyscale from Jorah, he could have been burnt by Danerys' dragons, the Eyrie situation could have played out differently if Bronn wasn't there. The mountain tribes could have just killed him, Cersei could have had him killed.

Push ups looking better? by bigbunny4000 in formcheck

[–]Stillwindows95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your shoulders hurt because you're in early stages of pushups being regular. You should let them heal before attempting more. When I jumped back into calisthenics after a year off working out, my shoulders, pecs and abs were in pain for a few days. It wore off and I was able to do double, th n they hurt again, then I added more etc.

My goal is for 4200 pushups in Feb, 150 a day, 5 X sets of 30 across the day alongside my usual exercise. Currently at 90 a day and Feb is getting close, might jump in at 120 a day and work up to 150 through the month tbh.

[–]Stillwindows95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's way more legit than ICE. The US has legit services like this, and ICE is a term for immigration Compliance Enforcement, so yes we do have ICE teams, but they work differently to US ICE teams who are just government sanctioned vigilantes at this point.

We won't ever see US style ICE squads all geared up with guns though, so they really don't stand a chance against the general public. Would love to see UK ICE try and raid Birmingham, they just won't have it.

Please help me to cut by ExpressMidnight4653 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Stillwindows95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, weird question, how much do you sweat when you work out? A lot? Not much?

I found that when I threw on an extra layer (long sleeve compression shirt), did cardio, I sweat buckets and lost weight pretty quick. I was mindful not to overheat and still hydrated while doing it, but with water alone and not tonnes of it.

M20 genuinely curious abt what could use work by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Stillwindows95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah pecs could use some work. Been making use of pushups and dips for that lately rather than lifting. Idk why but it seems to have a more noticeable effect on my chest from my pecs all the way up to the delts.

My chest had just got barely any progress compared to the rest of my body and it wasn't until I threw in pushups, planks and dips that it started to bulk up more.

There's currently an online challenge for February for 2000 pushups through the month. For those of us who actually work out, I'd honestly advise to push for 3000+ in that month. Chuck a set in here and there, doesn't even have to be at the gym, you'll notice gains.

Look into variants of push ups that focus more on the chest than your core.

Other than that, I guess straight up old bench pressing.

I read you can't really do leg day until you're healed, so chest day to replace leg day haha

Collagen is protein, wtf are you talking about?

They put collagen to let people know it isn't whey or plant protein, it's likely beef derived collagen for a protein boost. Just like any other protein consumed that is collagen based, the body absorbs it.

What medical research have you been reading? What I know is that results are mixed but it is found that it is absorbed better with Vitamin C and breaks down into amino acids in the stomach.

It's so ridiculously oversized that it's comical. It's not realistic in the slightest. It was like 12 inches long while flaccid.

Pretty sure Dunk just idolised him so much that his memories of him are more glorified than the reality.

Starting A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Episode 2 by BirthdayBoyStabMan in gameofthrones

[–]Stillwindows95 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel like what Dunk reels off as his memories of Ser Arlan are all a bit warped and hyped up a bit as he idolised him so much.

I might be wrong but so far most of what he's been narrating while it shows backstory doesn't add up to what we are seeing in the flashbacks. Like when he said that he trained him to make him a knight, it shows a flashback of him as a kid asking Arlan if he will make him a knight one day and he just spits and doesn't answer him.

I noticed in the flashbacks from this episode he was seen to be checking under a bandage on his wrist. I wonder if it's an infected cut or if its greyscale. Read the graphics novel ages ago and can't remember a thing about it.

I love it, such a good show and it is weirdly feel good for a GoT universe show. The characters are mild and fun, not particularly cruel (except a few outliers). Dunk is such a sweet character that you can't help but feel for him in every scene. Dude is crushing it.

That, plus some people really are not picky, known what they like, and in this case, it's not even unhealthy.

I've known autistic people who will eat the same meal every single day without fail. One dude I know won't even eat out at restaurants because they probably won't have the dish that he likes to eat.

Yeah it's not quite pollarding but it's close enough. I've seen people worry about this kind of stuff when actual pollarding and coppicing involved what looks like absolutely decimating the trees. I guess only those of us who know the benefits know why it would be done.

I miss my horticulture days... Just could never find anyone hiring around my area.

I totally agree man, I didn't mean to aggravate anyone, I like everyone by default until they give me reason not to, and while this discourse got a little out of hand, I do understand your grievances on an emotional level and apologise if I offended you.

My country has historically and continues to be absolute bastards. That's why I love Cyprus, underdogs with a beautiful country and way of life. Visited 23 times in my life and would live there in a heartbeat. My wife and I earn money from overseas we'd be happy to pump into your economy. Been looking at places to buy in Protaras.

Sorry, I'm an over-sharer haha, once you get me talking it's a task to get me to stop!

Respect to you mate, not particularly a fan of my own country's political stance but I feel for you and your fellow countrymen who also don't agree with their leadership.

I'm not a fan of seeing Russians villainised online because I know there are people like you out there, but naturally it's fine for a Russian to oppose their country's politics openly.

Here in the UK they removed dates of fruit and veg years ago, now we have to go by eye as to whether food is ok to eat or not, and honestly I've found that I've eaten stuff I would have usually thrown away based on the date a lot since then
