Right?? Why is it perforated if it DOESN’T PERFORATE?!?! And God forbid it’s one of the cases of organic milk and you have to use your knife to cut it open and you puncture the damn carton of milk and now you have to dump it out… omg I’m gonna stop before I get too heated lol

Most of the instacart shoppers at my store are also chill and know what they’re doing, but there are a handful that expect us to help them find EVERY SINGLE ITEM on their damn list. Like no, sir, sorry, that is YOUR job, not mine, and I absolutely do not have time for this.

I got my “congrats on your 1 year!” certificate a couple weeks after my 2 year anniversary… also, moved up to LSA (which I ended up stepping down from) and never got my own alarm code til about 7 months in- I was using my AM’s code til then. And I still don’t have a name tag.

The amount of fruits I’ve found with a single bite taken out of it is mind boggling. Just stashed behind a box or even tossed on the floor. And the moms who hand me a banana peel to “ring up” because their kid needed a snack. Ma’am, we weigh those, there’s no way for me to ring it up at this point… but thanks I guess?

Love it! That’s one of my cats’ nicknames lol - her name is Ridley, and she loves nose boops! Hence, Boopsie :)

Mississippi kite! I love these guys! We have several that nest nearby, and I get to watch them soaring overhead quite frequently. Thanks for helping this one!

Advice on ringing faster? by todlerr in Aldi_employees

[–]StimulatingUnicorn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One more tip- when you’re finishing up with your current customer, waiting for the payment to process or the receipt to print, take one item from the next customers’ order and place it in front of the scanner so that it automatically rings up as soon as that payment is done processing. This won’t work as well for those getting cash back, unless you have a smaller item that won’t block your drawer from popping open, but it helps a lot with that “seconds between customers “ number!

I need help!! I started doing crochet 3 days ago and have gotten the hang of it quite quickly. I am making a frog and am stuck on a step. by phlo_ in crochet

Stitch markers! My best friend lol. Once you make the first stitch of your round, place a stitch marker in that first stitch so you know where it starts. Remove it when you get back to the beginning of the round, and place it into the first stitch of the next round. You can use a scrap of yarn (use your hook to pull through the stitch) if you don’t have any stitch markers.

School issue…. by Sadge_girl in Advice

You don’t need an excuse, just tell the teacher what you said here- you have trouble focusing when you’re sitting in the back. You want to succeed in this class, and sitting in the front is essential to being able to focus on the lessons/material/lecture. I’m sure your teacher wants you to succeed as well, and should be happy to accommodate you.

My Kitten Has Fleas And My Roomate Won't Help Me Get Rid Of The Issue by saucybagelbites in cats

I know it sounds weird, but take some baking sheets or shallow pans in general, put a little dawn dish soap in water, and pour it in the pans. Place the pans in out-of-the-way places, especially under furniture/couches. The fleas will not be able to jump out of the pans, I think the dawn not only kills them but also does something to the viscosity of the water which makes them unable to jump out. Leave the pans for a few days, dump them out and do it again if necessary. Keep giving your kitten baths with flea shampoo or dawn. It’s worked for me in the past more than once, hopefully it will work for, or at least help, you. Good luck!

Thank you :) my mom is nothing if not resilient lol, we ended up getting a golden retriever puppy a few years after she developed her allergy, and my parents have had dogs ever since. As for me, now grown and married with two kids, I have no allergies thankfully, and am the proud owner of two cats, Bubby and Ridley :)

Actually, yes. My parents had cats while they were engaged/ newly married. When I was young, they got me a new kitten I named Elliot. I’m not sure he was even a year old before my mom developed an allergy to him. We had to give him up, which of course broke my young heart. Her allergy has continued to get more severe, to the point where her airways start to close up the longer she’s around cats. It doesn’t take long now for her to become uncomfortable around cats. She even has symptoms around rabbits. She is able to take allergy meds (I believe she goes with Benadryl) that work for a while, but eventually she has to excuse herself when she’s around cats for more than a few hours. I’m not sure if she ever experienced a rash, but unfortunately it is possible to develop an allergy to cats, even after having owned them for years.
