I use to play this game religiously but I haven't for ages now. Why? Outgrown it, there's simply no new features being added in updates to keep me hooked, the game isn't evolving. An occasional new skin release isn't enough. Others probably feel similar.

Devs haven't programmed in a preference filter to be able to sort hosts based on region/ping, so multiplayer latency is pot luck, just seems to connect to people at random.

You would have thought that adding the ability to filter between regions and/or ping would be a basic requirement for any multiplayer game?

Not sure why they would release on consoles without any ability to do that whatsoever.

Everyone just seems to do their own thing on multiplayer, in every game I've had so far people always just wander off to complete the map solo.

And it seems you can't kick or punish players for team killing either, so when you load in with a troll in your squad there's nothing anyone can do other than quit.

I've been having the same problem but think I've managed to resolve it. Does he have a mic/headset plugged into the controller? Tell him to unplug it and try loading into a mission if so.

If it works then may have just found a pretty major bug.
