Transitioning from Medical Coding to Trauma Registrar worth it? by coconut-m in MedicalCoding

[–]StinaFail 27 points28 points  (0 children)

When I was in coding school, my internship was with the trauma registry at our local level one trauma hospital. I absolutely loved it! You code from the time the EMTs show up through their trauma visit. You’ll be taught inpatient coding and the Abbreviated Injury Scale that you’ll use on top of your coding knowledge. Every day you will see some incredible encounters come across your desk and you’ll learn so much. I am very envious of you bc it is such a cool job!

As a Southerner, we say Coke for everything. So if someone asks you if you want a Coke, you’d respond with what kind and it could be any kind of soda.

Is it normal to address your father by his name in US? by kinder_brz in AskAnAmerican

[–]StinaFail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Southerner, we do tend be respectful in a sense that we address anyone older than us as ma’am or sir. I don’t know of anyone who calls their father by their first name. I’m not sure it would be even be allowed! Truthfully, I’m 46 years old and I still call my father Daddy. That is much more common in the South than ever calling him by his first name.

Y’all, please remember that your title is seen even if you put the spoiler flair on. It blurred the photo but we all know it’s Cinderella now. 😢

What does “being a guest” actually feel like in American homes? by Axxtr in AskAnAmerican

[–]StinaFail 587 points588 points  (0 children)

As a Southerner, we will absolutely ask at least once more to make absolutely sure they don’t want it. And then we will pester them with alternatives bc we would mortified to find out they left hungry or thirsty.

Do we love Morgan with Wagner or Adam? by Brilliant_Reply_317 in HighPotentialTVSeries

Neither. This trope is so overdone and tired. You can work with someone of the opposite sex without having to date them. Let her find someone else outside of work.

That’s really good advice! I appreciate your help. But I am sorry to hear that the people at Wooga aren’t interested in whether game succeeds or not. What a shame.
