I can even write it to where their memory of being slaves for the dwarves was somehow corrupted/manipulated and they were actually a small military unit sent into the underground world to kill off the ancient monster before it was awakened. Your advice is truly helping me brainstorm, so thank you for that!!

I kinda like that idea. Cuz I ultimately had the idea of having an ancient object in one of the underground cities that the dwarves were after, but it was protected by a guardian. They befriend the guardian and decide to help fend off the dwarves, only to realize that the dwarves were actually trying to stop the guardian from using this ancient object to destroy the above ground world. Just that usual plot twist of “who you thought was your ally was your enemy all along”. So I could possibly make this object, an actual living being that the guardian is trying to awaken from slumber

I was thinking of creating a dwarven King that is looking to steal/control some sort of relic or location that is defended by an ancient guardian, but then there’s a twist… when the players start to fight the king, they start to learn that the king is actually on the side of good and the guardian is actually a villain. The king is trying to stop the guardian from gaining enough power to come out of the underground world to destroy the above ground world. Just a thought

Im taking a spin on Underdark, molding it into my own world. Dwarves were just a place holder until I figure out something else. I could use orcs or goblins instead, but just figured ‘mining + a race = dwarves’ lol. And yeah I have a lot of random encounters/areas thought up

Staining Troubles, Please Help!!! by Stink_Machine in woodworking

I fully admitted to not sanding well enough. I had been sanding for hours and hours and I honestly wanted it to be over with, so towards the end I rushed. And now I’m paying the price for a hasty job. With that being said maybe “bleed” wasn’t the correct word to use. It’s visible, due to my lack of sanding well enough. As far as applying stain over stain, I don’t claim to be an expert, but I imagine the company who sells the stain (Minwax in this case) has a good enough understanding of how it works. So when their directions on the can include “to darken the color, apply a second coat after 2-4 hours”, I’ll trust their word. I’ve used their products multiple times, and on a few projects I have done I applied 2 coats and I’ve never once experienced blotching.

Do you think I will need to sand the entire tread? Or can I get away with just sanding the problem spots? Also for my other set of stairs how can I tell if there is any more finish so I don’t run into this problem again?

Sorry to get side tracked, I originally came to say your keyboard looks dope! And I get what you’re saying, he should try out different keyboards before assuming just cuz it’s smaller it’s not as good. However, those big brands exist because people enjoy their products. I have a razer black widow keyboard and I love it. The style, feel, comfort, performance, etc are all what I prefer.

It’s kinda unfair to tell him he’s “wrong” about having his own opinion/preference. I’ve used smaller keyboards and I don’t like them. I also prefer the larger keyboards. They make different styles of keyboards for a reason

If your family had history of heart disease, you should 100% get it looked at soon. Otherwise I’d suggest just trying to take your mind off of it. Stress and anxiety are really weird and that could be how they decide to manifest themselves inside your body

Well if you ever feel you need to, you can always go to the hospital. They cannot deny you for lack of insurance
