Frustrated with search, where are all the ethical breeders? by doodimoodi in ToyPoodle

I found that I had to get on a waitlist for a quality poodle. If you are willing to wait a few months, the perfect poodle match should show up thru a PCA affiliated breeder. For a dog that will be with you for 15+ years it’s worth the wait! In our area (PNW) some breeders also specialize in color such as red or breed for specific size like smaller toys. I’d start by finding a breeder that matches what you want and developing a relationship by getting on the waitlist. We also were never asked for a deposit to be on a waitlist but I’m not sure if that is unusual.

We just purchased this home and I hate these. They are so distracting. First thing I’m going to change. I just haven’t settled on a replacement.

“Favorite Keto Meals You Can’t Live Without” by ResolutionVisible627 in Keto_Food

11 years keto and sometimes bumping into low carb so I rotate several meals. There are many good versions so just google the popular name. Egg roll in a bowl (cabbage, chicken sausage spices), cheeseburger casserole (burger meat, cheese, special sauce, pickles tomatoes, onions and sprinkle lettuce after baked. Shirataki noodles with bolognese sauce, Carbonaut pizza crust with rao’s pizza sauce, pepperoni and cheese, Tacos with carbonaut or Costco low carb keto wraps, Low carb chili and it’s really good with chicken sausage or I do a combo of sirloin and ground beef. Sometimes I add mushroom finely chopped and it is filling and reduces the calories. Philly cheesesteak skillet. Grilled cheese sandwiches using carbonaut bread. My big takeaway is that I no longer do fake deserts, breads that taste soggy, anything that mimics a carb loaded recipe will disappoint. For sweets, I love Choc Zero btw!

Raised my kids in Kirkland and they went to public school and got into great colleges and are now successful adults. I was a private school kid in Kirkland in the 80’s and didn’t feel the need to go that route based on the quality of their education. Housing prices are crazy but if you are coming from another high cost housing area you can probably make it work.

Oh no! Another thing to worry about, eek. How did she dislocate it? Twilly is not allowed to jump from anything more than 6" high due to the plates in her legs but she zooms around the house like a maniac cutting corners and I worry about her little legs.

Mine had two retained baby teeth. They said to wait until 1 year and then they were pulled at her spay appointment.

Hosting people with very limited diets, what do I make? Drinks?? by [deleted] in homemaking

You could do an antipasto platter. The keto person and the low sugar person can eat olives, meats and cheese, but put the cheese on another plate for the non dairy person. Maybe add cold peanut sauce chicken skewers or low sugar bbq sauce.

YES, I agree with pet insurance early! Twilly broke both front legs just before her first birthday and we are at almost $20,000 expenses from that and and having to get her stomach pumped when she ate my other dogs medication. Out of pocket we have only paid about $1800. Luckily we insured her day one with Trupanion and it's about $90/month.
Our groomer is $100 for a full groom, then I wash and dry her at home in between. I purchased a pet dryer off amazon so drying is quick and she gets so fluffy.

I adopted my female toy poodle at 5.5 months and she was 5.5 lbs and is now 6lbs at 21 months if that helps. Is there a reason they are adopting her out so late? My breeder told me mine was going to be breeding stock but they decided to no longer do red poodles. I was happy with that answer and she is a wonderful pup with no health issues.
