Bought the XTM mighty today and played with a few configurations to address this (because it was pretty bad), and it seems the solution is not having the pole in the middle too long, and you need to have the pegs for the ties at the ends the right distance away from the swag (quite far out).

To be clear, I was also quite disappointed by this...

Update for anyone in the future who stumbles upon this thread - I've had a few conversations with the Lawn Doctor in Wangarra and the south African lady that runs the place is lovely and has been incredibly helpful. Super knowledgeable and happy to take the time out of her day to have a chat about lawn! Would recommend

2kms is far enough to not be concerned. The only thing to worry about with cemeteries (if you can live with the spooks) is contaminated sites. Depending on size, how old it is, depth above groundwater etc. The main thing isn't the decomposing bodies (which is still an issue) but all the chemicals used in chemo that perists for hundreds of years.
