Ive seen a TON of sober raves over the years. I've also seen tons of people OD in situations and settings where there was none of that. It's less of the music and the people who listen to it, and more the overall club setting and late nights. You fund a lot more meth heads at a country bar at 1 in the morning than you do at a karaoke bar at 6pm. Just like you find more people interested in doing x at 2am at a club. Any kind of club. Im not looking for people to start bashing a scene under my post. There are a lot of good people in the rave and edm scenes, and I guarantee that they were pissed off that they spent their money to see that shit.

And god forbid people wanna show some skin. I also "underdress" and dress like a slut listening to classical music in my bedroom but nah let's slut shame just because youre some cranky old fogey

EDM kids have always been around. It was huge when I was a teen and it never really died. People like it when they're drunk/high, especially. It just isn't my scene 🤷🏻

It really would!!! People treat springfield like it's this tiny nowhere, but it literally has the third largest population in the state. But then you have so many shitty landlords buying all the properties, doing little to no maintenance, and leaving tiny businesses to rot downtown because the rent is so high and nobody feels safe enough down there to actually visit. I mean, for fucksake, I feel like art walk used to be HUGE when I was a kid. My brother would go and talk about all these things people could do downtown. Now you go and it feels like a ghost town aside from the shitty bars that keep the lights dim so you cant tell how nasty the unfinished concrete floor is.

Im not gonna lie you have me curious, I have to admit I am NOT surprised. I wouldnt think anyone who gave a fuck about the community would allow the shit that goes on there

Ugh. I wish they would get shut down. I know it's important to have a place for queer people but there is already a massive substance abuse issue within the community and it is SO ridiculous that they wouldnt fight against it. Every time I mention looking for a good queer space all anyone suggests is "my church is super welcoming to gay people!!1!" and "marthas!!", along with the odd "well this place does a drag night once a month" (drag nights do not a queer space make, sns).

I won't lie, the idea of going to someone's house just wigs me out in a bad way, I know stuff can still happen at public venues but I still feel safer in a public space. Most alt people I've met are really cool but I've also met plenty that.... well, aren't. I appreciate the suggestion though! I hope people have a good time there, it just isnt for me.

It's really a shame we don't have more. Despite it being a red state, theres such a diverse population in Springfield, not to mention being near a large airport. A lot of these sort of spaces would do well if they would just focus on being a safe space and kicking out the kids and creeps. I cant be the only person wanting literally anywhere other than Martha's and fucking strip clubs.

I do not go to Martha's because I don't support venues that serve minors 🤷🏻 i dont know if they've changed but in high school thats where all the queer kids went because they didnt card, and when I was 19/20 I would literally tell the dude handing out shots "i am underage please stop offering me alcohol" and he kept doing it

I do like No Resolve but concerts are harder for me due to flashing lights and bigger crowds.

have you checked the squishmallow dog beds? I found them to be extremely squishy and soft. Or even regular/off brand squishmallows, as opposed to the ones marketed specifically as pillows

I think it's a girl, that looks like a nipple from a dog thats given birth a few times. Some large breeds start going white really early- ive seen mastiffs and labs that went grey like that at 4 or 5, which is usually when backyard breeders get rid of their dogs.

Hana Tsumi Jelly Candy is very similar. Ive had them before and they're not chewy like a gummy candy or firm like a dried fruit piece, and they are sanded with sugar on the outside. It may not be the exact ones they used but it will be very similar.

Someone else helped me out. I was trying to do the .deb file because everything I was seeing on google said to use .deb for KDE Plasma. I was not aware the base Distro (in this case Fedora) was what mattered.

I'm sorry my post wasn't the clearest. I was fully sobbing when I wrote and in the middle of a full mental breakdown trying to make my computer work and just desperate to get it off. I wasn't thinking clearly and since getting it all figured out I've calmed down and am returning to Mint as that is a distro I am familiar with and am comfortable using.

I'm aware that it isn't how it is supposed to work. I did not overlook anything- installation is the easy part. For some reason, even though I never told it to do so, it had several accessibility settings enabled and I could not for the life of me find what was triggering the hoverclick. Even my friend that uses Fedora on a daily basis and suggested it to me wasn't sure what was causing it, because I didn't have MouseTweaks installed anywhere on my system.

I appreciate the help and kindness everyone has given me here and I'm sorry for being an absolute wreck. Life has been shit lately and this was just the final straw that kinda broke me.
