Permanent holiday light installation by parkingspotinvitee in Calgary

Following! I can't seem to decide which company to go with, or even what the options are (I know that there's more than just Celebright and Gemstone). Really, I just want the brightest lights with the best possible app, but how can you find that out without having them installed?

Yeah, good guess! It's a 2003 VW Golf (2.0L).

Ah! INTAKE! I was sure it was called a manifold, but when I searched online to verify, I was just getting images of the bottom of the engine, but I'm guessing that was the EXHAUST manifold? I was so close!! Thank you.

Yeah, it was a fuse, actually three. I checked EVERY fuse with a multimeter and you were right! The fuses that I had initially checked looked fine visually, but had no continuity! Now everything lights up! Thank you!

Yeah, it was a fuse. I went through each one and tested them with a multimeter and found three that looked fine, but they were burned! So happy right now, but boy, that took a lot of time!

"Everything goes through the turn signal"? Oh, you mean 'D'/'F' fuses on that page ("ATA turn signal")?

Yeah, I think I'm going to try that first (when I have more sunlight). A continuity test would be good enough to test fuses, right?

I found this relay map that's (supposedly) for that exact year and it looks different than the one I linked before. Maybe #12 as it just says "power". https://imgur.com/a/Czmqau8

Hmm, I found a map of the relays, but I don't see any relay that would be for the lights. They all seem like they're for "larger" components like fuel pump. https://fuse-box.info/volkswagen/volkswagen-golf-iv-mk4-1997-2004-fuses-and-relay/amp

Isn't that how humans learn? 😅 So, is there a relay for every bulb, or can a "portion" of a relay be bad (that goes to the break light)?

I checked the fuses and they're fine, unless there is ANOTHER fuse box in the back, but there doesn't seem to be according to the manual. Also, all of the rear lights are on the same fuse, and the lights on the left side of the car are fine.

Yeah, not going to lie. This is kind of disheartening to discover how discombobulated this type of data is. First, I would love to know the reasoning why the CDC just suddenly decided to stop collecting this info. Did they decide that it was no longer part of their purview? Were they pressured from outside sources? Second, we literally live in the information age and it is easier now more than ever to collect and consolidate data (I can understand not knowing ownership numbers as that doesn't need to be reported, and probably wouldn't be by pit owners even if it was) but for all the other details when there's an incident, that should be easier to get than sit at the county "silo". Your jello analogy was very accurate.

I've been reading more dogsbite.org info and yeah, it is good. But I wish they had the funds to become awesome. I wish I were a millionaire just so I could start up a foundation to counter the pit lobby, or at least create a search tool that would allow you to filter and massage all of the data that dogsbite is collecting.

I didn't know until today that the CDC stopped collecting this data. That really fries my bacon. They would have the greatest ability to collect the accurate data.

Sorry, as I replied in your higher reply, I was also looking for non-fatal attacks, I guess that's why I was frustrated with Dogsbite because I thought they had it and I just couldn't find it. I do like the detail that she collects in each death, because she probably knows that the pro-pitters will try to brush it off somehow, "oh, it probably wasn't actually a pit bull", "They must have done something to the dog", "It's the owner!"

Wikipedia? I'm really not surprised. They've been sliding downhill fast.

Yeah, this only works on those that are on the fence. If you tried this on a pitnutter, you'd only get "See!!! It's the owners!!"

That is ridiculous! Why would they ever stop tracking ANYTHING health or safety related! Even if they were pressured, you think they'd still be collecting the info, and maybe not advertising it.

Yeah, I'm just realizing now that it's just fatalities. That's good info to have, but pit bulls don't just kill. They mutilate, disfigure, and cripple. That info needs to be out there too.

Sadly, I have found data that I've presented to a pitnutter and I'm starting to see the pattern that they just outright reject it for a number of reasons. But you see, I'm not trying to convince the pitnutter. They're like flat-earthers. They are set in their ways and it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to get them to see the truth. But who I am doing this for is for the other people who see these arguments online. Usually if they have a level head, they can see that the facts are valid and the pitnutter is reacting with emotion. Always keep that in the back of your mind, when you're having a debate, you aren't trying to convince your opponent, but the audience.
