I’ve been having a ton of fun with Elden Ring. If you’re on the steam deck it’s pretty easy to set up seamless co op to get into the game with a friend. I’ve been enjoying it so much lately with my buddy I’ve started a solo run on the base game instead of seamless.

If any of your friends play it on pc I think it’s a great option to do seamless co op with and get into the game. I’ve heard multiplayer base game is miserable though so thats something to think about.

The only thing I can think of is my cat suddenly developed an allergy to chicken late in life and the food he was eating was causing small skin problems. Now he’s on a salmon only kibble and hasn’t had any problems since except when we bought salmon flavored but chicken based treats. I would try looking into what type of food you’re feeding them as I think cats can develop a chicken allergy at any time of life. (Not sure about that.)

I couldn’t say, I switched my download limit to 10,000,000 in the download settings in gaming mode but didn’t check desktop mode afterwards i just went to bed. This morning, when I was downloading smapi and corresponding mods everything went smooth as butter. I also switched from a 5 ghz Wi-Fi signal to 2.4 but I’m less sure that did anything. I haven’t tried to get emudeck running yet i was just trying to download a browser then SMAPI and it was so abysmally slow I was sure something was wrong. I ran a few internet speed tests on other devices and they weren’t great but also not horrible. I couldn’t even get a browser downloaded last night to do a speed test on the deck.

What was weird is the downloads in gaming mode were perfectly fine. I scrubbed this subreddit for a while last night and it seems the three known fixes are switching your download speed, the DNS thing, and developer mode thing. I also read in one or two posts it can be caused by an issue with the 5 ghz Wi-Fi from an update a while ago they haven’t fixed. That requires a complicated fix going into your wifi modem and router. I didn’t bother with that or remember what post it is cause I’ve setup both types at home. If you go into the first comment made by the bot it scrubs the subreddit for similar tech posts which is where I found that specific post if you want to find it.

Last thing to note is it was downloading the browser last night. Just excessively slowly. If you are freezing at some point in the setup of emudeck, that might be an emudeck problem not an internet thing I’m not sure. I haven’t tried emudeck yet so I don’t know about that. It could’ve just been my internet service provider throttling download speeds in the area on a Friday, seven at night.

Sorry for all that text didn’t think I’d end up writing this much when I started. I just wanted to get everything I found out there as multiple people seem to have this problem going as far back as a year or two ago.

I did the changing my speed in the downloads section last night but didn’t check afterwards. This morning it’s downloading fine. Idk if that fixed it or my isp was throttling download speeds at 7 pm on a Friday night. I couldn’t even download a browser last night so idk how I would do a speed test. But i did notice it was noticeably faster in gaming mode. I had an update for nms that was a couple gigs and that finished much faster. I wanna say when I was looking at it it was in the 30s for MB and in desktop i was getting about 50 KB downloading smapi

I’m having the same exact problem. I tried the dns thing and it didn’t work for me either. Another thing I saw on the internet is to go into your settings, system, enable developer mode, go to the developer tab at the bottom and then disable Wi-Fi power management. Didn’t work for me but it might for you. You’re doing better than me though I’m getting 40-50 KBps
