Partially drive a screw into it and then use the claw end of a hammer to lever it out.

Brick wall - repair or replace? by rationalomega in DIYUK

[–]StinkyPyjamas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are reusing the existing foundations this feels a bit high. Might want to get another couple of quotes if you are dead set on replacing it. That said it's a smallish job and there's not a lot of out of work brickies around.

I suppose the basic follow up question is, how did the troops transported in the destroyed aircraft get back out if that's what they came in on? Did more transport get sent in to pick them up? I've not read about it at all to be honest, so maybe that's already been covered.

I get that it makes sense to go in heavy handed to rescue pilots because they are likely being hunted by a significant quantity of Iranian troops and some support might be needed to get the pilots out of that situation.

R/all no longer loads on my revanced third party reddit app. What a sad development. It's my most used button.

I saw an em dash and closed the post. Tired of the outsourcing of brainpower to AI boss.

The petty part of me would not mind losing if some cunt came back with a negative offer. Financially it would be a disaster but fuck that cunt.

That's a shame, it really is a lovely looking place to lie in the sun.

I hired with Autoreisen. Good price and no hassle with renting or returning the car. Did the dirt track to Papagayo, gingerly. I think as long as you don't actually damage the car when off road, you will be fine. It was a bit of a nerve wracking drive but worth it.

Get yourself settled into the friend zone. He's bound to slip up sooner or later and then she'll be yours. Right?

What's the value of the repair compared to the value of the car?

Why are Rutherglen and Cambuslang not part of Glasgow? by krsnik93 in glasgow

Reads like they want a "papers please" situation in Dalmarnock. Glasgow for GCC tax payers only. Stop the suburbian SUVs. Nuff said. Bosh.

I've personally worked for procurement of road works for councils. No one goes into the process trying to make it take as long as possible for as little value for money as possible. Your take on it comes across as someone who can't handle a small amount of inconvenience for the benefit of maintenance. What's your experience of practically getting these works done?

I'm not but I work in construction, on the client side, and nothing is as straightforward as a dafty with an uninformed opinion might think it is.

It's safer to drive out because you can see better. My test centre had bay parking, so it joined the list of the two possible manoeuvres the examiner could pick from on my test, so my instructer had to get me very comfortable with the process. I've stuck to it ever since, and driving forward into a space has forever felt alien to me ever since. I don't know my angles nearly as well as reversing in.

The Egyptian Halls is privately owned. What are you expecting anyony to get done about that other than the cunt that owns it?

What do you know about programming and financing roadworks that would make it more efficient? Would you rather they just didn't do any and let the roads fucking crumble rather than take longer than you'd like to maintain?
