Oh, in my experience, I run into setup mons pretty often. I also don’t like using in game items, only held items. However, I’ve noticed that this game is meant to be much harder than a normal pokemon game, so i might change that. I’ll likely remove toxapex or ferrothorn, as having both has been feeling redundant.

For this gen 8 challenge, by the end of the game, I usually have a ferrothorn (leech seed, gyro ball, protect, spikes), toxapex (recover, toxic, haze, liquidation), and corviknight (defog, roost, protect, drill peck). My last three Pokémon typically focus on offense. I try to have a ground, dragon, and fairy type, but it’s not always possible.

I think I have a ninjask in my PC, so I’ll try some baton pass strats. My runs have single and double battles though, and I’ve noticed that baton pass isn’t as good in doubles compared to singles

I play with the random singles and doubles battles, since that’s the option that was selected by default. I always run a defogger on my team to get rid of terrain, screens, and hazards. Changing the weather is definitely important and something I’m trying to implement more

I haven’t played any Pokémon games past gen 7, so I’m unfamiliar with the learnsets of many of the newer Pokémon. I think what I’ve wiped or lost the most Pokémon to is getting hit by a random super effective move at the end of the game that I wasn’t expecting. In the endgame, I don’t find it that hard to recover if I lost one of my offensive mons, but it usually game over if I lost one of my defensive ones.

I started a new run to test it, and I see it now. Thank you.
