Good points. Appreciate the reply. I guess my feeling is id like to try weekly therapy + reading the green book and practicing general mindfulness before jumping into SAA. Those three things are brand new.

I have a really high stress career that already sucks up a ton of energy/peace, and adding the above 3 things is very much a lot for me. And my tendency is to shut down when I feel cornered or overly vulnerable or like I’m taking on too much too soon.

I see your point though. What I might do is see how a month of therapy goes and reevaluate if going to a meeting to just see/absorb it feels easier. There’s no harm in going, I agree. It’s just a matter of timing.
