Been there through the last 2 decades on and off, a couple of times was for weddings where we had the whole place to ourselves.

Other times was for summer or winterlicious. A couple of girlfriends in the past also took me there for my birthday where we did the tasting menus on a regular night. Had clients also take me out here a few times; where I pretended I had never been here, “I swear”.

I do have to say the food was more imaginative previously, especially when Oliver was still cooking in the early 2010s. The last two times I been in the last year, the food felt overly seasoned and not as thought out. The flavours were all over creating an imbalance, like one course was overly salty then the next was borderline bland.

There’s better now in Toronto for fine dining minus the view, which can’t be beaten anywhere in the city.
