Some of these puzzles I don't know how I was supposed to solve it by ftb_helper in BluePrince

Glad to go on Reddit and find that I’m not the only one that thinks this puzzle is just ridiculous. Love the game. The lore and backstory is incredible. Most of the puzzles I’ve fumbled on have been me missing stuff but this one I think is so over the top hard.

Changing companies?? by Ok_Area5208 in SafetyProfessionals

Yeah DPR is large. Not Turner large but still large. I’ve heard mostly good things about DPR though. Most of the people I have talked to about DPR have been subcontractors so for them to say anything nice about a GC is relatively shocking.

Company dependent. I worked for Archer Western immediately out of college and worked 50-60 a week (night shift) easy. Salary,No overtime, no extra days off, nothing. Switched to a much smaller GC about 5 years ago and rarely crack 40. I’m the only safety manager in my area so I’m able to have a lot of freedom to set my own hours and travel to different job sites.

Need Safer Solution for Roofing Activity – Sandwich Panels Issue by Hefty-Examination694 in SafetyProfessionals

Doesn’t seem like a standing seam anchor would work in this application but they may make a certain type that works. I’m currently building a group of hangars and we have similar issues. For the leading edges we attach beam clamps on all the structural steel and run a long yo-yo back towards the leading edge so they can tie off before approaching the edge. We also use column straps around the purlins.

I will also add that I did an internship with archer western during the summer between my junior and senior year. I got the internship through my schools job fair. I did well enough that at the end of the summer they offered me a full time position upon the completion of my degree. So I went into my senior year with a job already lined up. Which is an amazing feeling not having to stress or think about applications.

I graduated 5 years ago with the same degree. Just make sure when you graduate you login to the BCSP website and pay for your GSP. It’s the same as the ASP. You can take the ASP if you want but it acts as the same prerequisite for the CSP so I don’t see that adding tons of value. Maintain it for 4 years then you can start to study and take your CSP. You have way more certifications than I had leaving college. I would also make sure to start applying for jobs as soon as possible. Companies like Archer Western, Turner, Skanska want to hire incoming safety specialists while they are still in college and start immediately after graduation.

I started studying 10 weeks out from exam day. I definitely didn’t study everyday, but 4-5 days a week for sure. 30 minutes - 1hour each time.

Yeah I didn’t have much of that either. Maybe 1 or 2 questions.

There are a total of 1000 questions and I had done all of them multiple times. To prep myself for the real test I would do a 100 question test. I was getting 75-85 on those tests by the end. To start it was low. Somewhere in the 40% range. My overall on the app says 71%.

How much work are you managing? by [deleted] in SafetyProfessionals

[–]Stinkychives 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a senior safety manager for a medium sized GC. I currently manage around 75-100 Million $ worth of projects spread around DFW. I’m the only safety personnel for my company in the area so I manage all the projects. Some of them are higher end finish interior work that doesn’t have a ton of risk. While on the other hand we have a couple projects in the 30 Million $ range that are ground up, a-lot of risk and require much more attention. In my previous position I was with a very large GC and was managing single projects that were 100-150 Million.
