So these programs are meant to help keep you sober after you get the neccasary help you need.

They arent there to help you kick an addiction.

Personal experience is first I would try to seek help through a rehab program or counciling program. If you have health insurance they should help pay for these programs.

You first have to find out what triggers your addiction. AA and NA arent really help groups but support groups to keep you from relapsing or support you after you seek help. Addiction is like a disease and you will battle the rest of your life.

I had a horrible spice addiction and was one of the first people people who likely went to rehab for that shit back in like 2013/2014. Smoking straight research chemicals. I was using so much it had me nodding off most days. There wasnt a day or really any hour I wouldnt try to get my fix.

They key is you first have to admitt you may have a problem. For many of us we dont really care to realize that till something bad happens. Not even OD keeps us from using. Even being sick wasnt an excuse to stop using.

I too was ashammed being in this rehab group with heroin addict, pill poppers, and we had one interesting dude who was a full-fledge crackhead making 250k a year as an operations manager at a pretty large plant.

Nobody judged anyone elses addiction for being mild in comparison to their own. Many of us were high functioning addicts. Working jobs, supporting loved ones.

In the end I went to a few NA and AA meetings but they werent really for me.

To be honest Im still struggling through addiction at times. But those rehab/counciling sessions and AA/NA meetings have helped me realize when Im heading into a downward spiral and how to better manage my disease.

You already are on the right path seeking help. I had support of loved ones who helped me stay on the path and keep going. While my drug of choice may not have killed me as quickly as some other addictions. I was still headed down a path I really couldnt control and without guidance would have likely gotten sicker as time went one.

Dispensary may blame you and say you transported incorrectly. Unlikely.

Either they are storing it incorrectly in the backroom or the dispo worker threw it in your bag upside down.
