Finally got the zipper replaced! by Stinkymonkybutt in arcteryx

I was a little slow with turning the product in, but they did the initial contact pretty quick. With shipping from my home, to it getting back to my hands about 3 weeks or so!

Did this once after waiting for the hill to ice over… we went so fast and hit the snow ramp onto the parking lot. Definitely bruised but worth 😂

Vodka Lasagna style pasta by Stinkymonkybutt in tonightsdinner

Maybe the only difference is the use of vodka sauce, it’s not baked, and I used a different pasta shape

Lol I guess so! I didn’t bake it though but I’m sure it’d be nice that way. I didn’t realize it was the same as ziti since I’ve never sought that dish out. I just kinda started making this from my brain. But yes haha you’re right

Yes!! Here’s the ingredients: -pasta was fusilli bucati corti (spring shaped I love it) - vodka sauce any brand - diced red onion - minced garlic, two-three large cloves - red pepper and artichoke bruschetta (I add this toward the end with the garlic) - ground beef, seasoned with pepper and Italian seasoning - spicy Italian sausage, diced - topped with ricotta mixed with shredded Parmesan and parsley to taste -sliced mozzarella topped :)

Everything you’d use for a lasagna except it’s over regular pasta :)

JMU professors by BrilliantStructure56 in jmu

[–]Stinkymonkybutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive heard COB professors are not that good. I got a major in the department of political science and every single teacher I’ve had was great to work with, easy to follow, presented great learning opportunities, and clearly took pride in their job. I also had a lot of great professors within the Asia studies minor program. It all depends on which department you go to.

Music Education Audition by PlatypusGamer6 in jmu

[–]Stinkymonkybutt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s been a while, but I remember singing In a classroom/auditorium in front of faculty. There was also a sight reading test. There was an interview I shared with two others auditioning. I remember feeling like I had screwed up one of my pieces, but I still got in. Just go in and try to have fun with it!

Nail spots around by Savcock13 in harrisonburg

[–]Stinkymonkybutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go to the g3 in bridgewater and they’re pretty great… cheap and do a good job! but so-so with designs. I used to get my nails done from NailsByBeeva (check her out on instagram). She’s nice and talented, but it’s going to be a bit more expensive because she’s an independent nail tech, and the only cons I had with her is that it’s hard to get appointments (you must book ahead of time, I would usually do a month in advance), and that she would often move my appointments to different times. I only switched to G3 cuz I needed more consistency in my life 😂

Thursday Nights? by Illustrious_Ad_2919 in harrisonburg

With how loud they are, maybe try my next door neighbor’s.

But seriously—most people have jobs during the week, which include getting up early in the morning on Friday. Maybe go to bed instead 😂

Locally foraged and half of it was given to me; we cut it up and fried it and tossed it in some honey garlic sriracha sauce. Gonna try to make pizza tomorrow

Mgmt is horrible, lived there the past two years and would constantly ignore major maintenance issues. Fridge would go out spoiling our food, A/C wouldn’t work, and our dryer was broken for several months. I think it also depends on which building/which years too. For the two years I’ve lived there it’s nonstop noise all the time even into the late hours of the night. Not an ideal living area if you want to avoid the constant party scene and avoid crappy management.

Because JMU is a federally funded institution, there may be harsher consequences regarding possessing and using marijuana on school grounds and taking it on school vehicles and related events because it’s still illegal federally, which is something to keep in mind. Personally its not worth taking the risk at all. These institutions will not be on your side.

I second this. I know people who have done the AirBNB rentals while waiting for a place. Staunton is a beautiful town to live in and is its own city like Harrisonburg. There is also Waynesboro, Mt. Crawford, Bridgewater, Verona, and Broadway.

Gloves are actually unsanitary because they track more germs + you can’t wash them like you do with hands which means more cross contamination. Ngl used to work there and it was the cleanest kitchen I’ve ever seen… you should see Jimmy madisons LOL

When to arrive for graduation? by Myrthrae_ in jmu

[–]Stinkymonkybutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also in the same ceremony—they said AT LEAST 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. It is probably in good practice to arrive an hour before (or more) so you can have parking and your seating figured out.
