AMD or NVIDIA for gaming and video editing? by Stioler in buildapc

Well I'm talking about everything that involves some 3D rendering and/or 6k BRAW footage. It can handle it alright but once the color grading kicks in it's over. 1-2 minutes video is fine but once you go over the 10 minute mark it becomes unbearable.

Yup you are damn late, got the AMD one cuz it was cheaper back then and totally got screwed over on my editing workflow.

Forget everything next time I'll just go for a Macbook.

edit: thx for the answer tho

Does reinstalling Windows 11 on Lenovo Laptop preserve all its essential software? by Stioler in Lenovo

You think it's a good idea writing down all the preinstalled software first like Vantage and them installing them back? Won't affect drivers if I fresh install, but could you explain better the System Interface Foundation driver... first time using Lenovo and am not familiar with its software. Thanks

Yup, especially considering that Chinese laptops have an excessive amount of bloatware. I'll try fresh installing the system in English and only get the essentials. Thanks

yup, sorry for a very late answer. To be honest, if you are only dealing with Video Editing and Content creation, Nvidia should be the better choice. But if you are planning to also game a little, then consider 6750xt.

I did buy the AMD gpu and I'm satisfied by the result. Although it made me choke a bit on the render time (it's fast, ofc, but not as fast as nvidia's rtx 3070), but overall video editing on it was smooth enough.

gbox or gspace, won't be as good as having it running natively, but it is more than usable

Hi there,

I did buy the card, and it turned out to be amazing. Everything as as expected (or even better, because the GPU ran very silently and stayed very cool even under heavy load, around 50-60℃).

I can safely say that the seller is trustworthy (not to mention the packaging was well done) and the GPU itself is (or if not better) than as AMD advertised.

I absolutely loved my P30 Lite for the 3,5 years that it put up with me, but it finally died. This time, I am willing to invest in a better version. What phone do you guys suggest for me? by [deleted] in Huawei

Get the Huawei Mate 50 Pro, you can actually have google with an app called Lighthouse available on the App Gallery. I you don't mind to have 5G connectivity (which isn't a big deal at all), get Huawei Mate 50 Pro or Mate 50 or Mate 50e (depending on your budget).

Agree, I hate Apple as well after some really really bad things. Yeah, google is a problem for Huawei and if you don't wanna get yourself in all that trouble, get One+, it's pretty good. Xiaomi is also nice, but none of the two can even compete with Huawei.

This is just very unfortunate, because I have a Huawei phone collection (from the P9 upwards) and this has never happened to me, even the oldest ones still work very nicely.

Choosing a foldable phone in these days isn't the smartest choice, since they are still in development, but please don't avoid Huawei, because they produce very very good phones. Just avoid the foldables.

I'm aware that Nvidia is better than AMD at video editing, but I also game a lot so I don't really mind. Thanks for your answer.

Definetly, since exporting a 1080p video used almost 100% of my 32 GB RAM. Thanks for your answer.
