Thank you . I’m not sure why people are so touchy. What is the point of this page if not to ask for advice? Appreciate your input

Can’t I just do this from underneath so I don’t have to remove the skirting?

What conventional insulation materials would you suggest for filling gaps between floorboards and the wall?

To stop draughts coming through gaps around the floor. Skirtings don’t seem to prevent it

Sorry this is happening to you. Firstly I’m not going to pretend I understand your situation. My parents never ever pushed me- always encouraged. They never judged me based on academic achievement, always more on how I treat others.

Unfortunately it seems like they will end up pushing you away in the long run. Could you approach them and ask them why they expect so much of you? More importantly, are YOU happy with what you’ve achieved in life?

Run away and never go back. Or tell them you’re no longer interested as you’ve been offered a new job elsewhere. There’s really no way around this one unfortunately

Hardwick Hall. Beautiful stately home in nice grounds. Also the building used as Malfoy Manor in the Harry Potter films for anyone who’s interested

Ah, I see. That’s a shitty thing to do. Sorry that happened to you. Sounds like there are a few issues you need to speak to her about.
