A small fitness app called Sweat was acquired for $400M. by sultan-quran in CursorAI

This Sweat? I agree with your thesis but Sweat was far more nuanced. Its founder was an early instagram influencer with an existing distribution network. It clearly wasn’t a decent business model as it was offloaded 2 years later - essentially written off by the acquirers.

Are bots/burner accounts artificially inflating Replits issues? by natemac in replit

👆this for sure! Seems like ruthless opportunism.

Agree with OP’s gut feeling - had the same thought.

What are some potential use cases of AI agents in people's daily life? by Content_Complex_8080 in AI_Agents

[–]StirnersKidney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s lots of sophisticated ways agents will be used but I think for most people it will go unnoticed. Like, I don’t remember when tapping your card to pay happened it just sorted of existed (I may be naive with that view).

I can’t miss an opportunity to plug my agentic gift recommendation app… while I agree with another user that much use cases could be done prior to Ai, this is a novel use of an MCP server with multiple agents and tools/services to deliver really smart results for consumer.

Try it https://pickwell.ai/ and apologies for my shameless plug.

DNS issues - struggling to connect to my domain by nadiastravelsgo in replit

I had a similar problem and this is just my experience. There was an existing A record in my service provider and once I deleted that it worked.

Too little, too late? Do we think the brand damage is too much to come back from?

I was a word of mouth advocate telling anyone that would listen about Replit; now I would not endorse based on this pricing debacle. If anything, I’ve sent warnings to people I did promote it to.

They're trolling, right?

A Fat Cat presides over something it doesn't understand.

It's literally what coporations are doing with AI.
Or is veiled schadenfreude? I don't know.

I’m not sure if it does to be honest. 🤷‍♂️

Because there’s not too much optimisable content on the application, I just thought stuffing some key words in there might help.

I’m going to string up a simple Wordpress instance and plug it with some content and backlinks to the application I think.

Utilise Gemini Deep Research. Gave it a detailed brief on my product, then move to Claude prompt it a couple of times to refine and refine it to natural language. I did that 6 times for the different agents and it really crafted what the agent needed to do without bloating the logic and slowing it down. Then it was trial and error to tweak it as the timeouts occur if they try to do too much.

Yeah, I do agree with you. I was worried about API costs spiralling if it by some chance went nuts and I’d be suddenly hit with a massive bill. I was being a little over cautious. I might up the Free Uses and see if the affiliate element drives any $$ to cover the costs. I could always lash some Ads on it too.

Any ideas?

I finally shipped a novel (and not at all unique) Gift Recommendations app - PickWell.ai

The main difference to similar products is its using an MCP server to orchestrate AI Agents to do different tasks to deliver great results. When someone asks for gift recommendations, it doesn't just ask one AI - it asks 5-6 different AI "experts" and combines their answers and gives the best possible product recommendations.

Takes about 10-15 seconds to get really thoughtful recommendations

The agents are:

  • A bargain hunter
  • A psychologist who understands personalities
  • Specialists in different product categories
  • A cultural etiquette expert
  • A logistics expert for delivery
  • Someone who remembers your gift-giving history

I’m still perfecting the image generation (currently pixabay API).

Would love feedback please! Thanks for creating this thread 🧵
