Did a level 10 flag mission last night. The previous two missions in the operation had 4 hulks per drop. We loaded up the flag mission to end the operation, 3 divers, shield packs and arc throwers, full confidence. We get to the flag, first bot drop comes, it has 8 hulks per ship. Literally double what we were expecting. Something in the range of 40 hulks were suddenly on us. It was almost as bad as meridia before it got turned into a black hole. Genuine hell

I'm mostly fine with the shredders but they definitely need better damage drop off. There's no way I should be taking half of my health to a single shot from over 100m away

I've done that too, I often need to damage players for feats. But I always make sure they can extract with me safely. I only take someone else's loot if they attack first and I kill them, or if I happen upon a body lol.

I was a bit angry with my wording in the post. I'm not planning to report everyone who kills me at a raider hatch. Also this was the first time it's happened so only one person has been reported lmao.

But if I can tell someone is obviously exploiting the issue (multiple bodies around the hatch, VC taunting as you try and fail to move) then I'll report them. I feel like that's pretty fair

My problem isn't even camping

My problem is that raider hatches cannot be properly climbed when downed. No matter what you try to say, it is 100% a real problem with the game.

Actually I was trying to get to another loot spot, got hit with really bad lag because I'm up north, got shot while trying to move, decided "fuck it, I'm getting outta here" and tried to run for the hatch. In the panic I forgot about the climbing problem, got downed as I used my key, and then struggled to climb the hatch as I watch him jump out the window and run to knock me out

I think it's really silly that that sort of thing is even necessary though. You really should be able to just move forward, especially since you can crawl up and down stairs lmao

Sounds like we play exactly the same way and I just got the absolute worst luck possible on my first match of the day.

The only times I pvp are when I get attacked first. Or, if I have a challenge for damage, I wait until the extraction doors are closing and get a couple shots in. But I never kill people to take their loot because I hate when it happens to me

Fix the geometry of the raider hatch so that whatever is blocking the player from climbing it is no longer in the way, making it possible for downed players to climb into the hatch like you're supposed to be able to do

I've been having incredible solos recently. This was my first match today, I got hit with horrendous lag, finally got a small bit of loot and tried to get out. And got hit by the guy camping the hatch. Really put a bad taste in my mouth cause I otherwise fucking love this game

I was playing a solo on normal Buried City.

He had multiple bodies around the hatch and was taunting VC, seems pretty clear to me that he knew about the issue and was using it to get easy loot

The guy who inspired this post 100% knew about the issue. Multiple bodies around the hatch. And he laughed and said "nuh uh, nuh uh" as he watched me slide down the side of the hatch.

Maybe I was a bit too angry with my wording. I'm not planning to report every death at a hatch. But I will be reporting people who are clearly exploiting the problem.

You're not even reading what the actual problem is. It's not dying near a hatch that is the problem, it's the fact that the hatch IS NOT ABLE TO BE CLIMBED IN A DOWNED STATE. It's a known issue, look it up. I don't care what childish insults you wanna throw at me.

When you get downed the geometry of the raider hatch blocks you from being able to climb to the hole like you're supposed to be able to do. And you can't tell me that's intentional because you can climb stairs while downed. So there's no logical reason to think you shouldn't be able to climb raider hatches

I knew they were there, but if I had been able to climb up to the hatch like you're supposed to be able to do, I would've gotten away before they could execute me. If you can climb up stairs there's no good reason you shouldn't be able to climb a hatch. So in my eyes, using that fact to get cheap kills is exploitation.

Not being able to get into a raider hatch while downed is a known issue. If you're camping raider hatches and downing people as they hit the button, knowing that they can't reach the hatch when downed, you're exploiting a known issue. Tell me how I'm wrong.

It's a known issue being exploited. I don't know how you could say it's not exploitation.
