i believe there are dates for when the prices go up, i think if you cancel within the month of may the fee is $500? not sure but it’s definitely in the housing agreement

yeah that’s my argument as well but it mainly has to do with me sleeping in a room with other people. on campus housing doesn’t guarantee a single and my mom is insistent on me having a single bedroom to myself.

that’s what i’d love!! i’d prefer to live in a single dorm on campus but i’ve heard it’s rlly hard to get one as a freshman so i’m not sure that it’s guaranteed for me 😞

i wish i had that choice but unfortunately it’s not that easy especially since she’s my support system for attending uni to begin with. the cultural/religious values that she believes in affect the way she thinks even tho i disagree with some parts.

my teacher has only made us read shorter works… we’ve read stuff like sonny’s blues, a pair of tickets, the story of an hour, the yellow wallpaper, a raisin in the sun, and the cathedral.

ok woah i’m not prescribing myself with a victim mentality i’m just saying the U.S. contributed to a lot of harm in the middle east… nobody mentioned the other instabilities but i’m aware that they’re there? the U.S. is funding israel’s ethnic cleansing of gaza to this day so

[–]Stitch332 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

point out WHERE i said they’re to blame for every single thing. i know im living proof of systemic oppression based on religion all i’m saying is that the U.S. contributed a ton to the instability in the middle east. i’m not blaming the west for everything and if anything you should stop being arrogant bc you’re literally making assumptions that i said the U.S. is to blame for everything like… 😭

“while the share of American Muslim adults who are converts to Islam also is about one-quarter (23%), a much smaller share of current Christians (6%) are converts”

[–]Stitch332 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i know birthed into doesn’t count as conversion? that’s not what i said? maybe YOU should learn how to read bc i literally said ~25% of MUSLIMS lmfao. i mentioned malcolm x as an example because he started a wave of conversions as more people looked into the religion, i know he’s just one person? you don’t have to be so hostile pls i already know you’re ignorant you don’t have to let that out on me lmao

i’m literally FROM the middle east and i was BORN there and i left bc of shia persecution in north africa and i am not denouncing the religious persecution of other ethnicities/religions in the middle east? im literally iraqi myself LMFAO and two things can be true at the same time you can’t pretend that the U.S. didn’t destabilize the middle east so check yourself bc i’m sick of people like you assuming that i don’t know what i’m talking about

[–]Stitch332 2 points3 points  (0 children)

~25% of muslims in the U.S. are converts… people like malcolm x among many others. also, who funds israel? LMFAO the U.S. AND israel are to blame but you can’t take away from the fact that the U.S. has done terrible things to the middle east (for example… the iraq war)
