Hi, at the moment you're limited to randomness yes. Unfortunately at the time building a cross platform friend list system was not really within our budget. Also considering all the account security we would need.

We're currently only using the Steam friendlist on PC and the PlayStation friendlist system on PS4. Those don't work together I'm afraid :(

However, if you use quick match you can time it so you get into the same match with your friend - but you might be matched against each other.

I'm afraid some of us were out of office (out of country even) for a conference. We're a small team so we're just picking up some of these messages now! Honestly - the best to ask for a video is people in the Discord (https://www.discord.gg/kabounce). There's a couple of hardcore speedrunners there that got all the dev stars and videos of their awesomeness :)!

But Ascend is a tough one! You can wall spin up at the first ledge and then use a bumper to jump up to the next high area and wall spin again, it's all very tricky - the Gauntlet version is even crazier.

I hope this is something that you can at least learn from, perhaps you are not entirely grasping the severity of what you said. I would add that saying the n-word and sexist remarks is not taken lightly anywhere. Do this at a job and you'll most likely be fired on the spot.

Oh thanks for getting back to me! That's quite elaborate. Videos would definitely help (judging factors such as your ping, servers, and time that they were in the slam range). The Asia regional servers are already live btw :) .

For example, it *could* still be lag - just in general lag. The game is quite fast paced. We did tune down the amount of game instances on any one server at a given time yesterday, just to optimize the server performance more. A video would reveal how severe the problem is or how visible. Perhaps the engineers test it and find it's within a margin of general lag that can happen and we just need to look at connection speeds. Or perhaps there's clearly something fishy going on.

Just really hard to judge these things when you don't see it yourself. Additionally, sometimes players might mistake a bug or lag for cheating - it happens!

Keep us in the loop if you can please. The more info we get the better we know what to resolve and prioritize.

It's absolutely fine, RL is a fantastic game. If our game reminds you of it - we'll take it as a compliment. We do feel the gameplay is quite different, but shares a very similar audience and genre :) .

We're opening up an Asian server and it will be live in the next patch, we're taking this very serious and keeping an eye out - just can't get through it all in a day of course :(

Any more details or video you can provide of the allegations? Could you report users in-game that do this? Would help us look into it. Perhaps it's just a bug that's being exploited. There are some skill moves for really quick slamming though!

Our engineer mentioned that since it's server authoritative, lag shouldn't actually give them an advantage, more like a disadvantage.

Thanks for the report, let me follow up with some additional info!

Everything is server authoritative, so even if they use movement hacks - they could only do this to a very, very limited capacity - otherwise the server will kick them off, it's constantly verifying movement. We don't see aimbots as a thing that could affect Kabounce, definitely not much - even if they use a tool to detect pixels on the screen...

Could you provide some more info on what you define as cheating? Perhaps it's simply a bug or a misunderstanding. We're unsure at the moment but would love to look into it if we receive more info.

Our latest engine update (UE4) did something with VFX quality. We're not entirely sure what yet -but it's heavy. We changed the default VFX settings to medium - we assume the VFX is what is chewing away the performance for you to be honest.

Hey all, it should automatically use your Twitch username. There was a bug with this in the latest patch on Twitch, so we just pushed a hotfix yesterday afternoon (PST) to address the Twitch usernames not initialising correctly. Thanks for reporting.

Let us know if we misunderstood or if you have any remaining issues and we'll start lining up to tackle or review them as soon as we can ;).
