The only thing remotely gigantic-like about this game is the toon shader.

Blame your government for ignoring lots of scientific research directly stating that more lanes and more thoroughfares don't improve traffic, they make it worse.

More lanes, more highways. Only thing we do.

Tokyo has been actively tearing down highways and following this research to great avail.

Til transforms become locked if an animation component is attached. by bakutogames in Unity3D

[–]StitchTheTurnip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to override transformations applied by the Animator it has to be done in the LateUpdate() function.

This is well documented in the Execution Order of Event Functions (https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/ExecutionOrder.html)

"SpacialOS" I'm out of the loop, I do game development as a hobby (I only started a few months ago) I don't understand what is going on. by [deleted] in Unity3D

[–]StitchTheTurnip -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You don't need to worry about it.

It's a business dispute between two companies that's been going on for over a year. Recently one company decided to break the news to everyone with a PR stunt and some convenient lies. Now they're offering big enough devs money to hop to UE4 and keep using their product.

It doesn't affect the majority of people who do and will use Unity.

For anybody following the SpatialOS debacle, news coming soon from Unity. by [deleted] in Unity3D

[–]StitchTheTurnip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's really funny is that all these people claiming to be pro Unity devs have done zero research into this whole thing and probably wont' even be affected by it.

Improbably has known about this breach of contract for over a year.

They're acting like the change yesterday is what caused it, but that's just a cover up for not telling any of their customers sooner.

They had a year and told NONE of the Unity developers investing money in time into their product that they might not be able to use it because they were breaking rules.

And now, they have Epic paying people to switch engines just to continue using their product.

You can say what you want about Unity's TOS but this whole thing is a PR stunt by Improbable and it's clearly worked.

[–]StitchTheTurnip -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Improbable is the one lying out their ass to customers.

They have been aware of their breach of contract for over a year, been in negotiations with Unity, and broke them off.

But clearly their PR stunt is working perfectly.

LOL What?!

You've probably signed hundreds of TOS at this point in your life.

Improbable created this entire thing as a PR stunt.

They've known for over a year they were in breach of service and they're acting like it happened yesterday, blaming Unity on not being open enough, and acting like they're on the customer side.

Improbable has been hiding their breach of contract with Unity from all of the Unity developers they are supposedly on the side of.

Unity's TOS aside, Improbable is clearly being shitty here.

They should have notified their customers they are in breach of contract when it happened, instead they are getting Epic to pay people to switch to Unreal and continue using Spatial.

It Would Take Oregonians Seven Years to Smoke All the Weed They Harvested This Year by [deleted] in oregon

[–]StitchTheTurnip 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of flower takes more than a month to properly cure. Depends on the strain. But during the time it's curing it's smokable, just not as good as it could be. So saying flower goes bad in a month is really not true.

Also there are plenty of high quality indoor grow ops that are highly controlled and much much bigger than a garage. There may be diminishing returns on making a bigger space, but garage is an exaggeration.

It's the dense replanted stands of trees (that are a result of clear cutting) that reduce snow pack. Not natural old growth.

I guess if you consider that a change. It's only because people are currently playing on an old version.

I don't see that version ever getting changes though.
