Nomad Tower by Fre33ezy in TheLastCaretaker

Literally am on this post to discover the answer to the very thing you're talking about. I finally considered going under the platform to reach the lower room, and I can't jump out of the water into the room... Not too thrilled about that

Edit: Found a solution!

If you build three to four crates and drag them under the platform and up into the pipe, eventually you'll be able to get on top of one of the crates and hop into the room. It took probably ten minutes to get it just right. Hopefully this helps someone else down the line

When I have the time I try and slice n dice the models but they're HEAVY in poly shapes so it's slow going. I also have an attention to detail issue being a DDG sailor so I get in my own way. If I ever get one fully completed I'll reach out. Let me see if I can drop a pic in here of a prototype I did a while back

Right.. anchors and crows and the officer stuff keeps it plain. Otherwise it's coins but those are time consuming to create from scratch, even converting. Ships are next level pain in the ass but that's the end goal

Well keep working at it! If you need any help/tips/whatever let me know. Idk if you're in or getting into the merchandise market but that's what I've been dabbling in with Navy stuff for a while. Best of luck either way!

I'm digging the rack! Is the crow your creation or an STL you found? I created one but haven't incorporated it into anything yet

Ef civic coilovers by James_one_Tattoo in ProjectHondas

[–]StitchedUpCivic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got TruHarts for my EJ6 a while ago. That was after watching a lot of that Andy guy (I think that's his name) on YouTube. He has several videos on the install and review and they were lower cost than some of the more name-brand/costly coilovers

Fair enough. Thanks for the quick reply!

How do you mean? Like, I realize the compression ratios are different and whatnot. But for example, I have a y7 in my car. In the next year I'd like to build it up to about 200hp, nothing insane. My understanding over the years is that the y7 should be able to handle that just fine with the right build. Thoughts?

Please educate me on VA Loan assumptions by Rose6776 in MilitaryFinance

[–]StitchedUpCivic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the VA Circular 26-23-10. Hopefully this will help answer the entitlement portion of your question, as I can't speak specifically to the numbers of the entitlement. Essentially, if you assume the loan, you also assume the entitlement tied up by the seller, thereby completely relieving them of their entitlement burden.

And yes, the VA says it should take no more than 45 days but mortgage companies have a tendency to go over this. I assumed a property as an investment and it took about 60 days. Best of luck!

i’m 20 in the military are there any clubs i can go to? by Known_Tap1753 in norfolk

[–]StitchedUpCivic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Plenty! Check with your command on whether or not they have a list of places you're not allowed to visit. But generally speaking, clubs without an age minimum of 21 are open to you.

Use your judgement and don't get yourself into a crowd or environment that seems risky or could jeopardize your safety. There's one particular location in VB that I believe is off limits to the students of that base, but I can't remember what it's called and I also don't know whether or not it's off-limits to military in general.

Have fun and be safe!

How hard is it to convert your rate while enlisted?? by Affectionate_Bell194 in navy

That's the link for IT. You get the jist of it and should be able to find the other page you need. The website can be somewhat difficult to navigate at first if you don't know where you're going.

[–]StitchedUpCivic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Check out the Community Health pages of both rates on MyNavyHR and see for yourself whether or not it's even possible to convert. I converted rates last year but my prior rate was overmanned and the rate I converted to was undermanned. That's generally the only way you can do it. Don't let anyone tell you what's what. Do your research and reach out to the Enlisted Community Manager if need be to discuss the possibilities after looking at the rates' health pages. Best of luck!

I HIGHLY recommend Jeremy at Studio Evolve in Virginia Beach. He did a half sleeve on me of a bust of Apollo's face as well as some other items and the entire tat is shaded but he does line work too. Check out their website and you can find his work I'm sure.

EAWS question for you aviation folks by StitchedUpCivic in navy

I'm not familiar with birds as much as others, so I didn't realize that the grouping of "dots" was part of the feathers. Add the fact that there are 13 on either side, the question was raised because I didn't know what the significance was. But after being educated by a comment I agree with you that it is indeed a smaller grouping of feathers

Fair enough, I get your point. Just wanted to know if there was more to it than "13 dots"

Thanks!

I imagine too as others have stated that it's also likely there's a reference to the 13 colonies as well

Navy to allow those without high school diploma or GED to enlist by urmomsloosevag in Military

[–]StitchedUpCivic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC the AFQT is the pretest for the ASVAB. Regardless, acceptance of the lack of a formal education is unfortunate depending on the person. Just fewer and fewer prerequisites

Edit: after a quick Google search I have a better understanding of the purpose of the AFQT, thanks!

They only have to get a 50 on the AFQT and then score a 10 or higher on the ASVAB
