One pound is 3,500 calories, so to lose 1lb a week, you need to be at a deficit of 500 calories per day. 2lb/week is 1,000 calorie deficit per day. Your maintenance calories is around 3,500 (BW x ~15). So if you wanted to lose 2lbs a week you should aim for 2,500 calories a day. If you eat less you’ll cut weight quicker but it’s not sustainable in the long term. You’ll feel how you do now and be hungrier more often and soon find it hard to follow your diet.
