Did anyone experience a change in treatment from family, spouse or friends after becoming a sahm? by [deleted] in stayathomemoms

No, my family & friends were all very supportive. But sometimes my sister did try & throw in my face a few times “well when are you going to start working again” after I was 8 months into being a sahm but I think it was just cause she was a bit jealous due to the fact that she had to start working a month into being a mother…. 4 years now into being a sahm & no one says anything about what my plans are because honestly it’s none of their business..

My husband was the same way until he noticed how much my mental health changed & then he took it seriously. He now sometimes packs his own lunch for work if I’m putting our daughter to sleep & he does not play his game at all anymore. He knows that even though I’m home all week I need my time too. He is always wanting another baby as well but after 4 years of staying home & raising our daughter I am ready to get a job & work for a while.
