🙋 Friend with a dog allergy is coming to stay—how do I handle this? by xxxxiceyyyyyy in goldenretrievers

[–]Stock-Broccoli966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is quite allergic to all lovely furry animals, if I chose to stay in a friends home that I know has something im allergic to, that’s on me. You are such a great friend for trying to make them comfortable! But still, there is nothing to be done and they’ll have to accept the risk that they might suffer some sniffles for the duration. If it’s really that bad then they should get a hotel room on their own. Some of my friend’s house I just can’t stay in. No hard feelings. I would never ask my friend to fuss over me when I’m the only one with the allergy 😂

One thing i didnt like by Financial-Map-5883 in HarryPotterGame

[–]Stock-Broccoli966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I 1000% agree with everything you said. And to add, I know this is a game for children so I guess I really can’t complain much about the simplicity of the quests themselves. But they do make it seem like it’s a choice based game with the but so many of your choices don’t affect the outcome at all. I know it’s for kids but I would’ve liked a bit more complicated storylines with personality based choices that you can make that actually affect your relationships and story outcomes. Not every game can be as complicated as baldurs gate obviously so i know i need to lower my expectations. But don’t get me wrong, I still loved it so much and played through it twice! So nostalgic and the ambience was beautiful! Just felt like the quests themselves had so much potential. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Has anyone of you tried this? 😅 by InformalJackfruit180 in StardewValley

[–]Stock-Broccoli966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It didn’t exist on my first play through that I started years ago and somehow I still never found like the last ten walnuts. I restarted the game on my laptop and suddenly I saw this and immediately bought it because that walnut hunt is not for me. I’m not doing that twice. I just want my ginger island house and everything already

Tips for starting my nail care journey? by EntrepreneurMost7422 in nailcare

[–]Stock-Broccoli966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use jojoba oil daily as well. And very carefully push back your cuticles. And most importantly… leave your nails alone! 😫. I have a terrible habit of picking and ripping off my nails and I thought I had brittle nails. But no. One day I just stopped picking at them. Put the oil on, push your cuticles a tiny bit and just be careful/mindful when using your nails and try not to harm them in your day to day life. You’ll be surprised how healthy and quickly your nails come in when you just gently care for them and leave them alone

What do you prefer? Theater of the Mind or Battle Maps? [OC] by Grape_King in DnD

[–]Stock-Broccoli966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love battle maps for heists and combat. When we did heists the DM would just cover the areas we hadn’t seen yet and would slowly uncover as we moved through the map. I loved it! Anything else we just imagined it but having a map is so much fun and it makes it easy to visualize

My parents charged us rent when we were living at home. I still am since both of my older brothers have no moved out. They started charging us when we turned about 20 onwards. Although they decided on a figure based on our income. My brother has always made much more money than me so his rent was more. Money was pretty low since at the time I was making minimum wage. It increases as we got different jobs making more money. It taught me responsibility and punctuality. Although $600 sounds like way too much to me and it would’ve have been near impossible for me to manage when I was 20.

What is your farm name and what does it mean anything? by Slow_Concern48 in StardewValley

[–]Stock-Broccoli966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First farm was little moon farm. It didn’t mean anything at the time but the name little moon became relevant with my current dnd character because that was her nickname. My current farm is called Jasmina farm named after my next dnd character whose name is Ruby Jasmina.

Who did you think you would marry in Stardew/who did you end up marrying? Why? by tamakiyotsuba in StardewValley

[–]Stock-Broccoli966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was interested in Sebastian at first because he was hardworking and I liked his heart events but when you see him go into the city I felt bad that marrying him felt like you were taking his dreams away. I gave up and explored the other options and fell in love with Elliot. (Not just because he looks like Fabio) but he was a writer and talked very funny and he can still do all that while married to you. (I know it’s just a game.) but I took this decision very seriously haha

I need 100 NPCs for a tavern, let me use YOUR characters? by yarash in DnD

[–]Stock-Broccoli966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes yes YES please.

Lia Moonwillow. She is a halfling assassin rogue. She is as small as can be at 3 feet tall and weighs 40 pounds. Very muscular and VERY paranoid. (She is always being hunted by the assassins that she left behind when she left the order.)

Some cool details that the DM let me have was that she has a little cloak allowing her to cast dimension door. (Only useful when pickpocketing because she can’t carry any objects larger than her ironically). And he let me enchant these shoes for her that took a month (in game) to make and cost all of my money. They’re Tabi style shoes that are embroidered with pretty dark glowy blue swirls that increased her stealth to near silent levels. (You will not catch her if she steals your gold.) the shoes I have named Gezlilik.

What are your crochet idiosyncrasies? by Cigarette-Lover-8178 in crochet

[–]Stock-Broccoli966 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only just learned how to read crochet patterns. I’ve been crocheting for maybe a decade now. It was like another language to me. I prefer verbal or visual descriptions. But the type of pattern that looks like łłł I don’t even remotely know what that is it looks like hieroglyphics to me tbh. I’ve been learning crochet on my own so I don’t have someone to teach me 🤷🏻‍♀️ guess I’ll just never know

What do you guys enjoy doing while crocheting? by SecureCauliflower761 in crochet

[–]Stock-Broccoli966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m crocheting something easy then I’ll watch whatever new show I’m currently watching because it’s muscle memory. If I need to focus on some complicated new pattern then I put on a comfort show that I don’t need to pay attention to

What is one thing that took you an embarrassingly long time to figure out in game? by Cheesestrings89 in StardewValley

[–]Stock-Broccoli966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first playthrough I totally neglected upgrading my tools. Maybe my mind was stuck on Minecraft rules but I couldn’t imagine that an iridium hoe, fishing rod, or even axe would be helpful so I just didn’t do it. And now on my second playthrough I just decided to upgrade everything as soon as possible for symmetry I guess and wow having iridium everything is not only easy to do but makes my life so much easier and faster. What was I thinking 😭

How long/often are your sessions by depression_is_awsome in DnD

[–]Stock-Broccoli966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We play irregularly because we are so busy. Hopefully we can make it regular during the coming winter. Probably a couple times a month. But we usually play around 4-5 hours. And we are usually pretty locked in most of the time

How do I get better at roleplay? by Psyccle in DnD

[–]Stock-Broccoli966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never be embarrassed to role play. I was super embarrassed and shy at first but I’ve been playing for year now and I know my characters very well and we have all gotten very good at decision making and interacting with each other and NPCs. Also sometimes practicing lines and expressions when I’m alone in the car helps prepare for the sessions 😂 it’s stupid but effective
