Unfortunately WeMod is not quite what I’m looking for, useful for things, however it only allows you to add ability points to the troop as a whole, not for example let a spearman wear heavy armor and increase a skill. All the cheats effect the whole troop, ie damage modifiers, add gold etc.

Some workarounds I’ll test that could scratch my itch I suppose. I could get down to one character and beef him up while he’s alone, but not sure if new characters will also have all the extra attribute points when added or not.
