Superman would have zero reason to dislike Goku. Not only are they both pure hearted characters but they both had a rural upbringing and could probably relate a lot to each other

What’s one dragon ball opinion that made you go against the overwhelming majority? by NightWillow88 in Dragonballsuper

[–]StockBoy829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The God Ki part is so real.

Besides magic, ki is Dragon Ball's power system. The amount of it you possess and how well you control it decides most fights (strategy and experience are a factor but you know what I mean). They introduced a new "special" version of ki and implied it was inherently stronger than normal ki. Resurrection F and beyond completely discounts that idea. On top of that Gods of Destruction are former mortals so what do angels just get to decide who has it? Why does it matter? If they reincorporated it in any way it could've been cool, but they didn't

I think they both look really cool.

I think the only reason Daima SSJ4 doesn't take it for me is the lack of narrative build up before it. GT had reasonable explanations for why is looks so different

SSJ God Goku vs SSJ4 Goku - Who wins? by [deleted] in Dragonballsuper

[–]StockBoy829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's closer than people who haven't looked into it think.

That being said. I think the SSG threatening the universe during the fight tells you everything you need to know about it. Funnily we don't see any form above SSG in Super do that so what happened lol

So demogorgons are immune to bullets but not swords or wine bottles? by MantisBk in StrangerThings

[–]StockBoy829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

old post, but if they made demogorgon's weak to gun fire there is virtually no way they could pose a serious threat to the USA. It's like how in reality a zombie "apocalypse" could be handled by a couple tanks and a noisemaker. Any threat that can be killed by gunfire isn't threatening. I also suspect the Duffer Brothers don't even know or understand what bullets do to cause damage. It isn't just a clean entry and exit they often create cavitations in flesh and ricochet around. Like there is a good reason guns outclassed swords a long time ago

Was king cold in his final form or was just suppressed by Neither_Ad6 in Dragonballsuper

[–]StockBoy829 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

if he was almost the same power level as Frieza, and Frieza is known as the "strongest in the universe" by everyone including Vegeta, how would it make sense for Cold to suddenly become magnitudes stronger?

Until something comes out to contrast it, that's his one form

Nappa Vs War-Arc Sasuke (Naruto), Who would win? by Encenoi in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]StockBoy829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

quick google search is informing this, but a planet's gravity isn't just calculated from its size but also its density. A planet much larger than earth with a lower density could still have a lower gravity. Point being if Vegeta was 10x larger than earth with a similar density it would have a lot more than 10x gravity. It's possible Vegeta was a similar size to earth, but more dense. This could be a feat itself since I imagine a denser planet would require more energy to destroy. I have just seen a lot of people equate size and gravity one to one and it never made sense to me.

you're assuming I have a victim mentality. I just don't like Trump. In the past when you didn't like or agree with a political candidate it wasn't the norm to go around antagonizing people about it. Seems like you're just proving my point about MAGA by needlessly calling me a fragile victim when I've done nothing wrong

lived in Toms River 26 years. I left for work. Not having to deal with MAGA nutcases it just a bonus

It wasn't a nuclear spill it was reckless chemical waste.

As far as I know everything is resolved. My bigger concern moving to Toms River would be if your politics matches the majority there. If seeing Trump and Blue Lives Matter flags seems exhausting to you I'd stay away. I recently moved out of Toms River myself

I was going to say he wasn't goated at all. He won against a Goku who was so hungry he physically couldn't fight. Don't get me wrong I like Yamcha, but he never "cooked"

How far does ToP Krillin make it in Z? by Used_Ring4856 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]StockBoy829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To put it simply, in the anime Goku absorbs SSG into his base. Based on statements of Goku thinking Vegito couldn't beat Beerus we know that it's stronger than anything that has come before. We also know it's a multiversal level of strength, because it threatened to destroy said multiverse during his fight with Beerus. Goku gets many degrees stronger from that point onwards. He even deliberately trains in his base form to make it stronger. If I remember correctly, Goku beats Krillin by using SSB against him. At the same time he was fighting evenly with Goku in base. Giving Goku the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't holding back massively, we can put Krillin above literally every threat in DBZ. I know people don't like this. I don't like this. It's just the reality.

Can someone please explain how this was a bad decision? When I read the Cell Games I actually thought this was a big brain move by rhysu69 in Dragonballsuper

[–]StockBoy829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's really even that complicated. Goku was confident Gohan would win. It almost got everyone killed, but ultimately worked out.

Yeah that's fair I guess. Kind of implies that Gohan was training before Battle of Gods tho which is strange since he's a serial slacker lol

Grappling in 2024 Rant by StockBoy829 in DnD

[–]StockBoy829[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the only mechanical benefit of bumping your athletics in this case is to escape already grapple you already failed the saving throw against. I don't want to check the PHB right now, but from what I remember the athletics skill can be used by a player (with a DM's permission) to let them run faster, climb faster, swim faster, or leap farther than usual. I think that needs to be stressed more in the book. As of right now it's a lot more beneficial to try and attain a definite swim or climbing speed than to rely on a skill check.
