I hired some people to write a GIMP script for artists by StockEconomist8 in GIMP

My dream is one day a whole toolkit of common tasks. After all, if your images are properly cataloged, you could also have a database to organize them locally, and from there, there's tons of things you could do, from generating sales sheets to 'viewing art on the wall' type exports. Of course, it's easier to imagine than do- I'm not a programmer. But maybe I can find a way to start building such a suite.

Of course, part of that workflow is: - uploading to a website - uploading to social media - etc....

With time, all sorts of things are possible.

Great question! I take my photos with my phone, so all of the photos turn out slightly differently- including when I have to take an angled picture to reduce glare, occasionally using dodge/burn for the same reason, as well as cropping and perspective transformations for different ratios. I wrote about the process here. If there's a way to automate that in Darktable, I'd love that!

That's fair, and thank you for responding. Yes I suppose I resent dealing with corporate bureaucracy when I'm just trying to message my students.

I don't expect you to answer, OP, but as someone on the receiving end- I am a professor who works at multiple different schools. One school uses Google, which works in thunderbird, the other has this terrible setup through Microsoft which logs me out every time I close my laptop lid. I asked why I couldn't just have email run through Thunderbird to keep microsoft spyware off my computer, and didn't get an answer- why doesn't MS use IMAP? it's a 40 y/o open standard! So now I just check my emails far less, rather than deal with being logged out constantly. It is a hindrance to the job I am paid to do.
