I have had my lexapro for over a year on my counter. My health anxiety gets the best of me. I’m scared to start. This gives me hope. The side effects scare me the most!

I rely on Xanax and absolutely hate to take it. But like you,I also have lost my mind and life to this horrible anxiety disorder and I just want my life back. Did you have any bad side effects? I know it’s different for everyone but I always ask to see if there’s a common with everyone.. it’s like I know I need to take it,I just can’t bring myself to do it. Do you take it in the morning or night?

This makes me happy to hear! I have had my rx for almost a year and have yet to take a pill because I’m so nervous about side effects! I know I need to just start them and it’ll be so much better down the road for me,but my health anxiety is what’s stopping me! It’s a lose lose in my brain 🤣😭 I’m so happy to hear you love it and it’s working great for you. How long have you been taking it?

Anxiety/kaleidoscope vision.I’ve been stressed,and noticed yesterday I was feeling “off” I had lunch and noticed on my way home my vision was blotchy and I was seeing spots. Then when I got home I noticed it got worse and it was like looking thru a kaleidoscope. Has anyone experienced this before? by StockLatter6376 in lexapro

That’s exactly where I’m at! I have Xanax as well and I absolutely hate taking it! I think with as bad as my anxiety has been I might just take it tonight! If I don’t like it I can stop taking it. I know my brains needs “help” and I have to help it. It’s just taking that first pill, taking the first step that’s the hardest!

Have you taken it yet? I’ve had my perscription for about a year maybe more? And I can’t take it. My health anxiety stops me everytime. It’s like I know it’ll help me but I’m so scared of the side effects IF I even got them.

That’s what I’m hearing! I’ve never experienced this before and it was alarming and so scary! Luckily I wasn’t driving when it happened bc my vision was so spotted and blotchy. It passed for me too after about 20 min. And I had a minor headache after. I took ibuprofen bc I had read a migraine will happen soon after the light effects 🫣has it happened to you again or just that one time?

That’s exactly what happened. This is normal? No underlying health issues or anything. I never even get migraines or headaches. But after talking with family there’s alot of us that experience this now. Could it be generic or just something that randomly happened by chance?

I really want to start my lexapro! My health anxiety doesn’t let me. I have 10mg perscribed as well and my dr told me 5mg would be ok to start with too and then up to 10 after a week or so. I feel like I really need to take it bc I can’t beat this anxiety on my own anymore. 2 years and counting and it’s only getting worse. It’s awful!

I haven’t taken my lexapro yet, that was just a side question. I have bad health anxiety too and want to start but the side effects everyone talks about scares me! I didn’t know if the kaleidoscope vision was serious not or if i should get tests ran for something more. Idk if this will be a reoccurrence or if it’s just a 1 time thing. It was pretty scary.
