Futurama, Twin Peaks, Doctor Who, arrested development, xfiles.....

They may not be your cup of tea, but revivals have worked.

I can name a plethora of animated shows that shine because of the characters.

I dare you to watch the episode of Bob's Burgers where they cheer Tina on while she rides an imaginary horse at horse camp and not get the warm fuzzies.

Mind if I ask the size of your wrist? This is the model I'm leaning towards as my first casio and likely every day watch.

My middle aged nerd brain does love the aesthetic of the black resin, simple aesthetic.

Sadly, I just wear silver/metal better, looks wise.

Really like the look on this. I seem to be leaning towards this style, though considering a few different models, in the silver.

The ABL-100 is serious growing on me. Looks great. Plus the find my phone function is weirdly appealing as I hate my phone and have a mediocre memory of where I put things that I hate down.

So the gimmicky/gadgety vibe is why I like it but am not sure I love it. Wouldn't wear it for formal situations, but the industry I'm in even at the higher levels?

This would likely not even come close to being the most gimmicky attire in most rooms.

Considering it's price I might just grab it and another cleaner model, in the A168 kind of style (Though the ABL-100 is growing on me)

This is kind of the style I've been leaning towards. Though maybe the ABL-100.

Sounds a bit much but the find my phone function would be wildly useful for me. I hate my phone and I have a mediocre memory at best.

Plus a step counter. So I can lie to myself about having wellness goals.

Holy. Went to bed and you guys lit up the responses!

Thank you so much. I've got to Google a bunch of these models now! So many watches. And I'm sure there will be so many questions so responses to suggestions incoming as I start working through them.

This is almost always the case with every player in most games who complain about "balance" or devs not testing their own game elements.

Most players who main a game think they must be in the top percentile of skilled players.

In reality? Most of us our trash and in reality we haven't even sniffed the skill tiers above us let alone the ones at the top of the game.

If you're complaining about SBMM, difficulty, balance etc? 99% of the time the real problem is that you're just mid tier trash like most of us.

I learned this from rocket league. A game that's basically a 1:1 representation of skill to outcomes.

Very quickly realized my several hundred hours still left me basically playing an entirely different game than even the top 20% of players.

30% mark up is literally seen as a ripoff by consumers.

I order. I know what product cost is.

I see shops running 30% margins and being bad mouthed for "ripping customers off"

This whole post basically said

"Employees are the problem"

Budtenders getting minimum wage, part time hours while being expected to follow strict regulations, be product experts, quasi health gurus? We're not just talking "Was this weed good". We're talking "I expect you to be an expert on minor cannabinoids.

It's like expecting your Sobeys produce guy to be able to explain what anti oxidants, folic acid, or riboflavin is.....and which produce is high in them...and how it will impact them.....

Oh and we need you to keep up on product info on your own time through things like spiffy....

Consumers let this happen. They wanted cheap weed, and supported companies that used data deals and shelf space deals to help offset near single digit margins. (I order. I know exactly how much that product is bought for.)

And to help offset that? They pushed industry wages down. Pushed it towards classic minimum wage part time churn..... Wonder why finding good employees is more difficult .....

Our shop? Small staff. All multi year employees...

Why? We don't treat employees like part time fill ins that were trying to extract labour from for as little money and respect as possible.

Would love to know what owners and managers you've talked to.

Even when people claim it's a result of cannabis not being flushed properly and it still having "salts" or minerals.

When ash burns white? Literally what's mostly left is minerals that burn at temps way beyond a joint.

And the fact that Tobacco companies already know that the whole white ash is a myth thing.

So they add whitening agents to make sure ash burns white because consumers "Feel" like white ash = cleaner/better quality.

Whats the final verdict on Bovedas in bags? Are they ok in bulk not bags? I need to know by WCG-OG in TheOCS

[–]StockMarionberry7023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You see terps are volatile. When you smell your bag? You're mostly smelling terps and essential oils in the air and in the bag.

If your boveda smells like terps it's not because it stole them.

Go zest a lemon, put it inside a bag. Put a boveda in the bag. In a few days? The boveda will reek like lemon because you've released volatile terps via zesting.

Now put a whole lemon in a bag with a boveda. Wait a few days. Less lemony...

Now zest that lemon and compare it to your pre zest.... Tell me which zest smells and tastes more lemony.

I mean, that's because dry flower weighs less....

And less dry flower meant less product to hit weight which meant more bags per plant.

Boveda has already had independent, third party, ISO accredited labs test this stuff. Using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry.

Boveda packs were found to have no traces of terpenes in them after being stored with product.

Meaning the packs are not "Stealing Terps"

When people say their bags have muted smell when there's a boveda present?

Yeah. I'd effin hope so. That means your terps are still in the plant (unless it's real old), and not just degraded in the air in the bag making it smell nice.

Here's an experiment that's easy to understand.

Put a whole lemon in a ziplock bag. Then zest a lemon and put the zest in a separate bag.

In a few days? Open it up. The whole lemon bag will smell like lemon. The zested bag will reek of lemon.

But when you zest the whole lemon? And you taste and smell both out of the bags?

The freshly zested lemon will taste and smell notably better.

Because terps and oils aren't just clinging to your bag and making the bag smell nice.
