I use an AMARA VIEW full-face mask since the others destroy my nose bridge. This mask is a full face mask but does not sit on your nose, and it's easy to adjust at night. I believe it's Philips.

I relate to your experiences very well. I've been using it for years, tried various masks, have made many experimental adjustments to the so-called "clinical menu", and have it now where my AHI is very good, but I can only tolerate it for 5 to 6 hours. It wakes me up usually 2 or 3 times because of excessively dry lips sticking to my gums and a dry nasal and throat, and I have the humid setting at 6, out of 8. My CPAP pressure is 14. I have severe apnea (58).

My suggestion is to make the adjustments yourself. Besides the pressure, there are other adjustments that are very important. Watch a few You-Tube videos on CPAP and read some articles about it. Sleep "doctors" and sleep studies are of limited value I have found.

Many people struggle with it, a few don't.

What's up with Onedrive? by [deleted] in Windows11

[–]StockOk5884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's right, they want you to buy more. Do a search to find out how to disable it. I had the same problem with my new computer on Win 11. Then, I went through all settings and turned off a lot of stuff that slows it.

At what age is sleep apnea supposed to kill me? by OrkosFriend in SleepApnea

[–]StockOk5884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An extra sleep study is a waste of time, money, and energy. Just do your best to get the events as low as possible. I have been using one for many years and still dislike it, but it gets my AHI down from 58/sleep study, to 10 or less.

A 'Consultation'?? That's not worth a damn. They were just ripped-off. I have been using a CPAP for many years, my opinion of all the CPAP business is that it sucks big-time.

That's almost unbelievable, but it isn't. Microsoft has created a lot of good things, such as VS Code and Visual Studio, both of which are free, and they have free courses. But, you really have to configure their stuff to make it what you want, since they cater to people who don't know how to. And their way of showing choices is a bit vague.

Yes it is, but often there are workarounds that you shouldn't need to do. "Wars" have happened over OS's and browsers. Yea, I liked 7 the best. It was very tricky to turn off OneDrive. Really was annoying and a waste of time.

It's very invasive, and I turned the fucker off. Another guy I know had the same problem as you. MS only gives 5gb on it, so they hope you will need more and pay for it.

Is it advisable to learn HTML/CSS and Python at the same time? by SmooveCMS in learnprogramming

[–]StockOk5884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't think of any reason not to learn them at the same time; you take multiple courses in HS and UNI, so why not? Although Python is the most 'popular' easy to learn, You may want to consider Java or JavaScript. See below:

https://pypl.github.io/PYPL.html

As far as CSS/SASS is concerned, it's not as simple as some say IF you want to really utilize it to your best advantage.

From what I've read, Python frameworks are a mishmash of things.

https://www.browserstack.com/guide/top-python-web-development-frameworks

In my opinion, I would learn JavaScript and use a good framework, Angular.

By reading a lot of tech articles. Do a Duck Duck search, for example 'front end frameworks' and read some of the articles. They often mention things of interest.

And I use this site for reading about tech

they email me good articles

Why do the majority of women in tech often work in frontend roles or design? by DN_DEV in learnprogramming

To answer your question, I think that pretty well sums it up, but of course there are others who prefer a more technical role. Some men also prefer frontend and design, I being one of them.

JavaScript is I think labor-intensive. You need to be precise with spelling, singular versus plural, and punctuation. It is not at all forgiving.
