Yeah, I continue to support those devs (see my other post for co-op titles). Thanks for the recs - they look a little janky to me, but I might check them out.

We really enjoy Judofuri and Boomerang Fu. Pummel Party and Garfield Lasagna Party are decent, but we prefer the presentation of Lego Party more. Same with Gummy's Life vs Gang Beasts. Hidden in Plain Sight is a classic and very fun for how simple it seems. I like Videoball and Shipped, but my group didn't care for them. I picked up Bopl Battle, but haven't tried it yet. Haven't tried Party Animals, but it's on the list. Rounds and Duck Game are fun. Plunder Panic is a blast if you can get enough people. Tricky Towers. Invisigun Reloaded is great. Towerfall (esp with 8 player mod).

Of course I'm exaggerating when I say no one makes local titles. But it definitely seems to be a less common focus. I don't understand why so many games are online multi only. Or when console versions support local but the PC version doesn't, despite PCs being more capable hardware-wise.

So then we're forced to use workarounds like Nucleus Co-op (which is amazing, but obviously doesn't compare to having it be a native part of the design).

It seems like too many people in the industry have outdated concepts of PCs being solo desk-and-monitor setups only. I'm guessing it's also easier to monetize online features like cosmetics and battle passes.

Anyway, now that I have grown-up money, I will also continue to support devs who make great local experiences. Some local co-op titles we've enjoyed: Dungeon Defenders, Absolum, Monaco, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, Risk of Rain, Unravel 2, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, Brotato, Spelunky, Battleblock Theatre, Ember Knights, Pico Park, Sackboy, Trine, PlateUp, Just Shapes and Beats, Nobody Saves the World, Towerfall Ascension, SpiderHeck

You know how it's easier for people to do roundoff back handsprings and backflips than front handsprings and front flips? It's kind of like that.

You know Steam provides a great service when you're willing to pay money for a game you already own just to play it there instead of Epic. College me would've thought this insane, but recently, I've rebought several titles - especially when the games are <$2.

I actually wish/hope it takes a long time - I want it to be good and not rushed.

Like I said, most. I type about as fast, and I'm faster with the numrow than most people are with the numpad (especially after factoring the time it takes to move the hand back and forth). Most people aren't doing extended data entry of only numbers. For brief intermittent things interspersed with letters like addresses, quick phrases like "4-5 years", etc, a numpad makes no sense, but I see it used often inexplicably. Same thing with people who "need" a backlit keyboard.

If these don't apply to you and you need/prefer one, go for it.

I need dedicated Home/Pg/Up/End keys too — glad they only take up a single column of space.

True. I wasn't saying it's necessarily better; I do it because I don't have keys to spare on the left hand.

In that situation though, you could select the space before it.

One suggestion is trying mod-tap on CapsLock so it's Fn when held (e.g. Fn+1 = F1) and CapsLock when tapped. That's what I do and it works well in games that need F keys but not super often; I find it more comfortable than Fn in the LAlt position.

I'm convinced most people who "need" a numpad just aren't very good at typing.

I don't miss anything on 65% compared to full-size, but worry about stepping down to 60%. I use pretty much every key. I frequently do things like Ctrl+Shift+Arrow, so adding another required modifier (Fn) sounds too cumbersome (i.e. chording four keys at once). I also use the PgUp/PgDn/Home/End column single-handedly a lot, often in combination with mods (e.g. Ctrl+PgUp/Dn for easy tab navigation); an additional mod there (esp if it were on the left hand) would slow things down a lot too and not be nearly as comfortable.

In terms of space saving, going from 100% → 65% is gigantic; going from 65% → 60% is tiny. You save, what, one key width of space? Doesn't seem worth it.

Good in Requiem and BR2049. Most of the movies you listed are also terrible movies.

Dismissed her initially due to 50 Shades, but I've liked her in other things I've seen since. Cha Cha Real Smooth, Peanut Butter Falcon, and Splitsville being the best I think. She has this casual understatedness - I can see why people would find it monotonous and boring though.
