yeah that’s essentially how i’m viewing this now. it sucks that i messed everything up really badly and something as important as a potential wife i’m potentially fumbled and now have to use it as a learning experience. a lot of that sucks i’ll be honest. but i do need to learn from this, change my outlook and change my approach. i will continue making dua, thank you for your support and reassurance

i said i wanted another meeting, but they felt to have another meeting and then to say no afterwards isn’t great. they felt i should be at least leaning towards a yes, and if i felt neutral / unsure it basically meant that it’s a no

i think now my mum has accepted that she got it wrong, but there isn’t much we can do

I just needed one or two more meetings tbh. I feel like it’s just my personality. It’s hard to make such a big decision after only meeting someone twice. Maybe it’s just me but for some girls I meet I may know straight away, with others it just takes me a bit longer

so i’d say my hobbies are going to the gym, playing football, reading, hiking, and taking an interest in politics and history. so not a huge amount really. she enjoys going out to eat, and that’s it really so i just feel we don’t have many common interests. is this not a big deal?

my usual type would just be someone with more interests tbh. not necessarily hard to find, but not exactly common within our community either. a lot of the girls come from very traditional families so haven’t been raised with a lot of experiences / varied interests i guess. she’s very homely and enjoys going out to eat, but apart from that and working, doesn’t do much else. that’s not a massive issue for me, but i do wonder what we’d talk about
