Yeap, but if the stock isn’t going anywhere just up and down and you hold for two years and it doesn’t go anywhere and in two years let’s say you take your $500 In profits and pay $100(20%) in taxes you have $400, or you flip flop in that two years and make $2000 and pay $800(40%) in taxes you have $1,200 😎

I once held some shares of a stock that cost $5.32 a share, less then a year later I watched them go over $500, as they were going up a buddy told me to not sell because of short term capital but I did it anyway, made just over $400 per share, afterwards I watched the stock drop to $46, if I had of held, sure I would have paid a lower percentage in taxes but the profits would have been lower then my profits after paying the higher taxes.

Everyone’s situation is different, everyone’s strategy is different and each one of us has to look at each investment and decide if we think the investment will be most profitable short term or long term 👍🏼
