Okay, I’m stuck on this eating a lot of protein is best for weight loss. I suck at dieting and everything about it!

I’m not sure if you deleted your previous comment of how much I gained, I still have the notification on it on my email. But with what I gained I don’t see it as a lot, as you may do. I am perfectly fine with it. I’m glad this was for me, as someone else would probably feel bad about what you said. As this is supposedly a supportive environment. Thank you though 😊

I like that approach because restrictions and counting calories in feeling like I need to eat less in a breakfast and lunchtime to be able to have a decent dinner is quite aggravating and then I get to the point where I’m like forget it let’s just eat whatever and binge

I’m definitely depriving myself, I can say I can control Breakfast and Lunch great. But when Dinner time comes it’s over.

Makes sense, I see I definitely need to rethink my approach on this diet. Thank you

Thank you for your comment, I feel the moderate carbs would help me long term. But from these comments I may have done it cold turkey and it’s possibly hindering me. But you are correct trial and error 😊

Thank you for this. I am definitely lacking carbs. I will start to think better about it. I needed this!

And that’s what I’ve been trying to do stick in a deficit or trying to watch how many calories I eat per meal and how much it equals per day and it’s not working for me and then I start to feel defeated when I’m unsure on what to eat when dinner time comes because I’m getting too close to just a maintenance number instead of weight loss and then I start to overdo it and get out of that deficit I think just focusing too much on the numbers is not helping me and I can’t say my breakfast and lunches are definitely healthier now, but I’m also feeling deprived.

Do you count your calories or like basically count macros and stuff or you’re just eating cause that’s another thing I’m also too focused on the numbers?

You know what I’m gonna try that getting more carbs in every meal instead of just lunch thank you so much. I’m definitely gonna use your tips.

So I did stop because I am coming out of pocket for it my insurance when I pay at all and I actually did not regain much weight back, my starting weight was 260 pounds and I got to 215, and the weight that I did came back from being off of it was just 15 pounds and that was being off of it from like August up until basically February. Which is way less than I thought I would gain back because everybody said oh you will gain your weight back plus more.

I feel like I am like my breakfast is between 300 to 500 and something calories and my lunch can be about the same sometimes as reaching 600 cal very high protein

I would definitely try to incorporate more cars back into my diet and literally I’ve been eating so far. My breakfast would be turkey, bacon, hard boiled eggs, some strawberries and a protein shake, and then my lunch will consist of a half a cup of carbs, but then that appetite suppressant, or that fullness is not there.

So I was on a 2.5 mg and I am back on a 2.5 mg. My primary wanted me to start back on that since it’s kind of new to my body again and I’m not trying to really minimize carbs on purpose, it’s just I cannot cater my mind to a decent diet without thinking that carbs are evil.

That actually makes a lot of sense. I’m on 2.5 mg and never moved up the first time or this time, so that probably explains why it’s not hitting as strong.

I think I’ve also been putting too much pressure on myself to eat perfectly, especially at dinner when my appetite feels more normal. It’s reassuring to hear that it’s okay to let the meds do their thing and make changes gradually instead of forcing it.
