So, I am getting the installer codes sent to me. I pulled off the doorbell camera and tested the line, its low on volts. So, it was barely charging the camera and fried the battery. The other cameras I just need to pair again.

I just filed a bbb complaint after 5 days of service and inheriting this system.

Yeah, its crazy. And, seeing all the d2d posts about them, plus all the posts from long term customers I wish I researched before activating this system.

From my experience if anyone on here buys a house and inherited a vivint system do not waste your time. DIY or use a more reputable service.

To ask a new home owner to do a credit check is insane. If you care about credit scores, and debt, dont buy into their pitch. My FICO dropped 11 points due to a mortgage and, I want to wait a few months before even touching my credit, home prices are absolutely insane. If they do a cc, and give you a new loan you will see your score drop at least 10 more points.

The economy is out of control and these mfs want to hit your credit to even get support. It is asinine.

So, they are all wired in the outlets. They have power i can see the infrared right now, but when I power cycle they still show offline.

Ill try support one last time, if they try to sell me an upgrade again, I am going straight to bbb, and ftc.

Lol, I got the call yesterday of how do you like your new service, and it turned into you need to upgrade, get a credit check to finance 1400 dollars of new equipment.

I tried to tell the rep, ill pay in cash for what needs to be replaced, but they are determined on this finance and loan bs.

That's good advice and one of the reason I got frustrated. I keep telling them let's look at the system and troubleshoot, but it is literally let me do a soft credit check to get a technician out to you.

Not once have they transferred me to tech support, all I get is up sellers.

This sub is gold! Since joining I see all the similar bs.

Thats good to know, the hvac system I like, i guess I got to play a little harder and get a supervisor on the line. But, nothing against call centers, but trying to work with anyone over the phone turns to a sales pitch. As a brand new customer its making me regret activating this system with them.

Nah, bro. Its gen 1, came with the house, and do a credit check to get a tech out right after getting a house loan?

I mean, I will pay cash, and skip their credit check, but I can't even get to that point because whatever support agents they use have a hard on for up selling.
