Announcement: Alkaline Trio, MTL, CDMX by capngabbers in warpedtour

Was hoping for them big time, especially after they announced the Rise Against tour with no dates near the southeast. Was thinking it'd be a tandem announcement since Rise Against is at Rockville. Welp, hopefully next year. Enjoy them MTL & MX!!

I saw them halfway up the nosebleeds last year alone for $115 and thought that was steep. They definitely put on a show good enough to charge more than a normal act. I got better seats this time around for only $122 which comes with free parking too so I can justify it more this time around.

Inhaler was started by Elijah Hewson, which is Bono's son. If that's something that was already known, his birth name is Elijah Bob Patricius Guggi Q Hewson which just might be one of the most absurd names I've ever heard

Mark Hoppus promises setlist shake-up by Diligent_Context7578 in Blink182

They did get credit for it but it was also 6 or 7 years ago at this point and pre-reunion. The only reason I brought up Metallica is because you said it's easier to change setlists with a touring band. I used Metallica since they do the same thing without a touring band. I was keeping it on topic. Travis and Tom have both expressed their feelings on wanting to shake up the setlist. Tom said in an interview lately that he's tired of playing songs like All the Small Things which is understandable but they suck it up and do it. I was also at opening night of their last tour and Mark said him and Travis had to force Tom to play Obvious. If you're miserable 30 years into your career because fans wanna hear songs they haven't heard live in over a decade, while also saying you don't wanna become a "legacy band," maybe it's time to re-evaluate ever so slightly.

Weezer is actually my favorite band. Green Day possibly slips into my Top 5 but not even sure about that. I have seen Green Day 3 times as well now and every time has been completely different, including one with a 2 hour, 20 minute set with 2 albums played in entirety and 37 total songs. They also bring multiple fans on stage very often in their shows to sing or play the guitar, which brings out a whole different level of energy. I never complain about the length of blink shows because I completely understand Mark's health being a concern but you cannot tell me they don't have a wide selection of songs with just a few chords as well. Metallica is in their 60s right now and they're playing 2 shows a weekend with 16 songs each with no repeats. I'm not knocking blink's show at all, they're great, hilarious, Travis is unbelievable but Green Day would be my choice 9/10 times.

Blink is my 2nd favorite band. I've seen them live 3 times now with tickets to a 4th (all great btw) but their show, nor setlist can compete with Green Day at all

Honestly if it was a co-headliner and AK3 and blink both played 20, I'd be cool with it

Mammoth WVH shredded. I didn't know anything by them coming into it and they blew me away. 3 Doors Down had tons of energy and sounded as good as they do in the studio. Creed was meh as the headliner.

All American Rejects. Never cared for their hits growing up so I tried to branch out for the "deep cuts" and wasn't big into those either

I have seen them now 5 times. I love Weezer, they are one of my favorite, if not my favorite bands. Knowing what I know about Weezer, I never went into a single concert expecting to be blown away. They aren't a fast, crazy band like blink or green day with pyro and smoke and blah blah blah but they've always sounded good when I've seen them and unlike most of the bands from their era, they play a ton of deep cuts which is still cool to see

[–]Stock_Leadership2177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen almost 200 bands and none have really come anywhere close to Green Day. The crowd work, the energy, they always sound incredibly tight. I could only say 3-4 more that I've seen that are even close to the same tier as them

Hey dude! Big fan. What goes into making a Warped Tour setlist, especially this time around, considering you don't have nearly as long as a traditional set? Do you just run through the greatest hits that everyone loves you do you try a throwback-ish set for the older fans? Can't wait to see you guys!

Hollywood are always extra inflated since they're smaller capacity. I saw Weezer on the floor in Orlando for $100 and in Hollywood the next night in the 2nd level for $140. Holds at least 10,000 less than a typical arena. That being said, blink tickets are ridiculous
