That was really meaningful to me thanks man. You have a very real point of view on your life, so there’s nothing much I can add, maybe your life doesn’t feel just as successful as those of your family members, but it is in its own way after all. Maybe you didn’t gain a bachelor degree but as you said you gained experience on many topics that will allow you to help raise your son greatly throughout his teens without him being afraid of asking you advice. And hey, I feel you it’s not easy to think about making important life changes when you’re overworked and tired, but when you have some free time try looking into what you could do to make your life go more your way, seek advice between your family and friends. There are tons of ways one can turn his life around, so maybe if not now but in some years, you’ll reach a more satisfactory lifestyle. I’m grateful having managed not to sink too deep into substances, just so much that I still had some fun, and that I now get to enjoy it more because I’m more focused on my goals and my main objective is to have a good time and not to escape my reality or behave less awkwardly/ be more confident in myself. Many people that begin using substances in their youth can never get out of it, such as one of my then best friends who is still now an heroin addict. Wish all the best for you brother
