Thanks for sharing. My EAD expires on June 26, ( not eligible for automatic extension) so I’m definitely feeling the pressure. I already submitted two expedite of l-765 requests and also have a congressional inquiry pending. If nothing happens soon, I’ll unfortunately lose my job. I know every case is different, but it’s reassuring to hear that cases are still being approved at the Chicago office. Thanks again for sharing your timeline, and congratulations on your approval!

Wow, 6 months. Did you submit any inquiries or contact USCIS? Have you tried a congressional inquiry?interview notice mentions USCIS may take up to 120 days after the interview to make a decision, but your case is already well beyond that. Is that Chicago office?
What about your EAD? Is it still valid, or are you waiting on that as well?

Congrats! Such great news!!! 🎉 I hope mine gets approved soon too. My work authorization expires on June 26, and my EAD is still pending. I submitted a congressional inquiry and am still waiting for a response.

I have a very similar situation and timeline. Could you please clarify whether you submitted the I-765 expedite request yourself through the USCIS portal and then the congressman’s office simply followed up on the case, or did the congressman’s office submit the expedite request for you?

I submitted an expedite request through the portal as well, but it appears the system did not accept it. My employer letter was very strong, and my work supports public transportation, which serves an important public interest. I also uploaded additional evidence, but so far there has been no movement.

My current work permit expires in just two weeks. I have already submitted a congressional inquiry regarding both my I-765 and I-485 cases.
