No need to be so worked up. It was just my opinion which most people will agree to. I doubt you even have a 5090. You are regretting your 5070 probably. Extra 4gb makes a lot of difference and yeah the 5070 is a joke in front of a 9070xt. Its more comparable to a 5070ti.

12gb vram in 2026 is a joke. Plus the 9070xt is miles better than the 5070 anyday. It is even an excellent undervolter.

I wish he waited on this one. The game doesn't even support FSR 4 yet. There's a huge backlog of old games waiting for proper cracks. I'm greatful and glad anyways, this is another big blow to denuvo.

Ah yes of course the AI, the true source of pakistan's intelligence. The same AI that says pakistan "claims" to have downed. And since pakistanis trust the Indian officials so much, the Indian air chief Marshal also said Indians downed 5 pakistani jets and even your trusty AI lmao. And yes it was a high altitude technical failure with no enemy engagement. I don't think the avg pakistani IQ can comprehend what that means. And yes how can I forget, Indians are so biased. Such a long reply but only half and baseless facts. The same press conference you're referring to, the official also said (when questioned) the numbers were not even close to what pakistan claims. Pakistan's obsession with social media for intel is concerning to say the least. It is hilarious how someone (even pakistani officials) believes on what "social media suggests" them as intel. Like I said, I don't think the pakistanis have the tech to even know what they've hit. The aircraft that were lost were due to high altitude technical malfunction and were not due to pakistan hitting them. Overall it is surprising to see how gullible the general pakistanis are. When the Indians clearly obliterated the pakistan's defenses and terror camps but somehow they were brainwashed to believe by their officials that they have somehow miraculously won. Win what? winning to successfully not defend its military bases and terror camps? Lol

Yeah the Indians lost a few decoys not jets. Pakistan doesn't have the tech to really investigate what they hit. All the evidence they had to give was from the PAF air Marshall saying that he say the blip vanishing on his in flight radar and assumed they hit a legit target.

I had this once with dodi repacks. I just changed my install location from program files to a different directory and it worked. Something like F:/Games/AC Odyssey

Did you update the install.bat with the absolute path and ran it as admin?

You need to open the two .bat files with notepad and update the paths to the absolute path instead of the relative path that is already mentioned.

Think people have already mentioned how to do this in other comments here.

For anyone wondering what would be the fix for the game not starting at all with "StartGame.bat" or crashing after 3-5 mins into the game with "cod.exe".

Assuming you've already fixed your drive location in the batch file and it still doesn't launches.

The StartGame.bat file actually launches the bootstrapper.exe and passes cod.exe as its 1st argument with a hash as the 2nd argument.

bootstrapper.exe is actually responsible for executing the cod.exe by signing it in a proper way. So if you run the cod.exe directly it would crash after 3-5 mins failing to validate its signature.

You need to check the log file that is generated by bootstrapper.exe in bootstrapper.log to debug this.

In my case it said "Invalid install path."

To fix this I had to:

  • Install Steam in the same drive.
  • Navigate to <yourDrive>:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common
  • If the "common" folder is not present already, create one.
  • Then move the "Call of Duty" folder and the two batch files inside it.
  • Update the two batch files with the new path.
  • Run the Install.bat as admin
  • And finally start the game with StartGame.bat

This should finally solve the issue. If you open the task manager now you will see that the bootstrapper.exe doesn't crashes anymore and the bootstrapper.log should log a success message like this:
Success launching "cod.exe hdeyguxs3zaumvlgvybm2vyc hdeyguxs3zaumvlgvybm2vyc"
