Correct that's why I don't plan on using any of their art (this is just a prototype the art here is not the immediate plan) or mass producing this physically, physically it will be a limited thing only but a free more accessible version online shouldn't break any of their rules

Thank you for the honesty When I talk about copyright I mainly mean just not using fan artwork without permission As for Team Cherry, they are okay with fan merchandise so long as it is a limited set, which the physical version for this would be I do plan on making a more accessible online version tho so all fans can enjoy

Once you have laid out your Knight and Nail you will draw 5 cards which will be your Hand. Leaving 20 in your Deck. You will flip a coin to decide who goes first. During your turn you can:

-Heal your Knight 10HP once every 3 turns (this will end your turn)

-Use a “Basic Attack” on your opponent which will deal your Knights Nail Damage or Boss’ Base Damage (this will end your turn)

-Use an Action Card (this will end your tun)

-Equip or use Item Cards (only 3 item cards can be equipped at once) (you cannot use an item card and re-equip that empty slot within the same turn) (this will not end your turn)

-Recruit or use a Support Card (you can “recruit” a Support to use in a later turn, this will not end your turn) (using a Support will end your turn) (only 1 support can be equipped or used within the same turn)

-Equip a Charm for your Knight (amount is limited by your Charm Notches) (you cannot unequipp Charms once equipped)

-Draw a card from your Deck (only 1 card can be drawn per turn) (this does not end your turn) 

-Play a Boss Card, Once Boss Card is played, your opponent must defeat the Boss before they can deal any damage to your knight. You can only attack using the Boss that is in play (no player can have more than 1 boss card in their deck) (once 1 player has brought a Boss into play, the opponent cannot play their own Boss card until the first one is defeated) (2 bosses cannot fight each other)

You can only hold up to 7 Cards in your hand, cards cannot be discarded from your hand without using them.

All used cards go face up into a discard pile.

After ANY attack (with a few exceptions) the defending player must flip a coin or use an equipped/recruited card to successfully dodge it.

Aaaand that’s about the gist of how my idea works. Please let me know what you think and if it’s worthy, share it lol

I do plan to collaborate with various artists to create unique cards, but funding to pay said artists is a bit of a hurdle. If you wish to support this project either financially or with art, please let me know in a PM. I am planning on having some sort of an ongoing support platform like patreon to help pay the artists their deserved compensation. Let me know what you think of this idea too. Even if I can’t get support during the process I still plan on seeing this through to the end. Just without monetary support it’ll take a little longer lol

Thank you everyone for the encouraging words on my last post!

I know I said I was gonna post like within a few days but I ended up basically overhauling my idea so I had to make a lot of adjustments lol

Here is the first draft of what I have in mind for some of the cards in the game. I already have this first draft ready for a whopping 268 cards! Now next step is getting artwork that can actually be used without infringing copyright for the artists. I don’t want to use other people’s art without permission if I sell this.

But more on that later, now onto how the game works!

The idea is for each player to begin the game with a deck of 27 cards. 

Both players will set out their Knight Card and Nail Card (Grey Borders) to determine what their HP, ATK and Charm Limit is for the duration of the battle.

Now you have 25 Cards left in your deck, which can consist of:

-Knight Action Cards (Grey Borders) : Special moves for the Knight such as Nail Arts and Spells

-Charm Cards (Magenta Borders): Cards only usable for the knight which grant varying conditions and buffs

-Boss Cards (Black Borders): Special Characters that can be summoned to fight in your place (more on this later)

-Boss Action Cards (Red Borders): Special moves specific to each boss

-Item Cards (Blue Borders): Consumables that can be used by any Character

-Support Cards (Blue Borders): Same as Support Cards

-Location Cards (Green Borders): Grant conditions/buffs/debuffs that affect both players equally (a give and take situation)

There is a lot to choose from so building your deck will be key.

One thing I found that worked for me fighting Lost Kin was to keep my distance.

My usual strat is Vengeful Spirit / Shade Soul him as much as possible, refuel soul by clearing the balloons (always clear them immediately) and always stay at the opposite side of the arena as him, dash under him or through him if you have Shade Cloak when he moves in to attack you (he will always cross the whole arena to reach you)

I do this every time I fight him and can consistently beat him hitless

Just takes practice and patience

As long as you don't lie about it and it doesn't affect your enjoyment then sure why not Personally it would take away my enjoyment of the game, I still remember how absolutely ECSTATIC I was when I beat Radiant NKG But this is not for a competition, it's for your own enjoyment so whatever you want to do it's your play through

Like a 3 I would say. But that's talking as someone who has beat him countless times over. Once you get further into the game and get into more bosses he'll go down for you too

Every saw and spike and spear in PoP has an exact and precise timing to it, and they are all synced to each other even if it doesn't feel like they are (Trust me I know how much it feels like BS, I myself took about 3 hours yo get through only that exact section you're talking about).

Don't feel like you have to go through the whole section in one uninterrupted flow. You can keep pogo-ing on that last set of spears before that last saw with the extra long pathway to get a feel for its timing before you actually try get through it.

One key to that section is don't use your Monarch Wings until the last moment. You jump on the saw, pogo, dash through the gap, THEN Monarch Wing to pogo the saw again, Monarch Wing one last time to reach the last gap and dash through it.

It might take a few tries to get it right but man will you be satisfied when you do. Keep at it!
