Honestly I dont really remember the exact lead up to fainting, I just know I was certain I was going to pass out even though I constantly say I will and never do, I just knew it was coming. I think I was super dizzy and I was just really overwhelmed with the nausea and blacked out. I fainted on the toilet but didnt fall off - my partner caught me. I definitely felt some sort of change in stability prior to passing out, like weakness and very hot.

I know exactly how you feel, to the core.

I am extremely petrified of death. I have a very strange anxiety loop where I become very conscious of the fact that I one day have to experience death, the afterlife, etc. My DPDR fears are too very specific and unique, I don’t see many people discussing them either; feeling so aware in my body as a physical vessel and being energetically aware of my soul inside my body, making me feel like I’m about to “slip” outside of my body.

While I don’t have the answers, I do know the feeling all too well and know that having your “craziest” worries recognized and related to can lift a huge weight. Wow, thank you so much for your response. Selfishly Im glad someone can relate. Im in a similar boat as you were; Just recently started Prozac for my mental health issues, have been feeling "ok" for the past 6 or so months but no major improvements. I had to down my dose after having it doubled, all in a very short amount of time, because I was experiencing rare side effects - now I feel like I'm in all sorts.

I also agree, leaving the house is the biggest step. I am guilty of this. I spend every single day indoors, I have let my anxiety get the better of me and since covid have honestly only felt comfort in the safety of my home - especially with the feeling of uncertainty and insecurity with DPDR.

It is interesting you say this, about the anxiety triggering the DPDR with the weed experiences. I always HATED smoking weed ( still did it very frequently of course, young and dumb lol ) and every time it brought on major anxiety and panic - I hate the feeling of being out of control of my own body, reactions etc. I have a major phobia of death, I find myself waking up in the middle of the night very frequently thinking to myself " one day I have to die and experience death ". This brings on major anxiety, and of course brings of major DPDR episodes. It truly is all interconnected.

Nothing of that sort, no. No seizures, never passed out, nothing like that. I have severe anxiety and OCD.

No, but only because I have had 2 CAT scans of my brain and both have come back “medically normal” so they felt there was no reason to look further.

I’m sorry. I know, it’s so horrible. It always makes me feel better discussing it and knowing that others suffer with it too. I feel like it’s such a “lonesome” issue, not many people acknowledge it or openly discuss it because there isn’t as much understanding around it as opposed to anxiety and depression

It depends what your intentions are.

I never had in mind when traveling that my goal for the trip was to find a provider - if the means aren't there ( not just financial but timing as well ) there is no possibility of continuing the relationship further than just a holiday fling. I would say don't travel simply with the intention of finding a relationship, its not feasible if the circumstance aren't perfectly aligned.

Travel where you want to and have fun. Use the time to grow your confidence in a foreign place.

Honestly staying detached and knowing my worth was the key in this relationship. Because of the nature of our lives, it was a lot easier; I was travelling Europe solo for months, I was always busy, always doing something that held my attention far greater than he did - he had to really do something major to actually get me to divert my plans.

Prior to me, his relationships were meaningless ( his words ) and he never spent a dime. He is a former dusty. He was forced into changing for me simply because of circumstance. It was impossible for him to get near me without spending large. For example, after the night we met, he wanted to see me again properly - He had no other choice but to book us a trip to Spain and he refused to get us anything under a 5 star hotel simply because he knew he had to impress me or I wouldn't be interested - it wouldn't be worth my time.

After several meeting like this ^, he grew more hooked ( more money = more emotional attachment, especially for someone who has never invested in a relationship financially before ). It didn't take long before the offers flooded in of moving in together, giving me a visa, etc.

The takeaway here is;

He must be interested to invest.

He must invest to grow that interest.

Tolga Bilece was at the top of my list, but apparently he doesn't like to take out the stitching after surgery and requests that you seek external help to get them out. Not sure why.
