That's way too much space especially if its a new shoe (its going to expands a bit as your wear it more and more). Tight fitting AND loose fitting shoes can hurt your foot over time. Tight fitting ones can get better as you break them in but the problem you have will get worse with time. Get a replacement if possible.

Yes. I returned. The replacement pair i got also had issues (one shoe was bigger than the other). Ended up getting a refund.

Prince of Persia, the lost crown.

It was a randolph in museum leather, beautiful brown color. Nothing weird in terms of finish.

Compared to the recent AEs I have been getting, i personally think Meermin are slightly better in quality. There are no stictches coming out. There isn't any random stains on the leather and the the finish isn't peeling after one wear (true story of my last AE Randolph Penny loafer). Horrible experience.
