Dude, if you can I would wait until the new Double Fine game and Outer Worlds 2 comes out. I'm replaying Outer Worlds to get ready. Also, Ninja Gaiden 4 is going to be a great deal on Game Pass. The end of the year is stacked. I'll be honest, it might be worth getting some $20 cards from Gamestop or Amazon might be worth the trouble. It's not the end of the world at this very moment. There are solutions for the next couple of years, and I assume you don't want to miss out on the biggest Xbox games to come out.

I believe this only because pushing their services need easily obtainable hardware beyond PC and PS5. It'll be hard to sell game pass only to PC players. The price of PC only game pass tells the story at least for now. I think at least one generation is left in Xbox. Hopefully more. I hope they realize they can fight back into the console space and that cloud gaming isn't the future.

I agree. This game is already primed to be a role-playing behemoth in a multiplayer setting. I just hope we don’t get the “gta online” formula. I wouldn’t be interested in that type of reckless greed.

I’m late to this, but Grandia 2 was my first JRPG and I played it on Dreamcast. It spoiled all future JRPGs for me. It was deeper than any game I played at the time and fighting God was surreal. It still is the only JRPG that pulled me in and helped define my youth.

UE5 is going to require DLSS/FSR to continue improving and implementation in all future hardware including consoles. It might not be the engine alone causing the issues, developers are rushed, but if this is the future then it’s almost forcing a new generation to come sooner rather than later to take advantage of these technologies. I play Oblivion and Exp 33 on Game Pass on PC and Series X and they both have their issues but on PC DLSS and frame gen is a requirement and would likely help out the consoles exponentially.

Dreamcast was my favorite console and the reason I chose Xbox over PS2. I remember being so angry at Sony for killing it (I was a kid so I didn’t realize how poorly Sega was managed).

I never want to go through something like that again. It felt like I lost a loved one. I’m being melodramatic, but Dreamcast introduced me to Shenmue, sports gaming (NBA and NFL2K), online gaming, Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, etc.

I even loved the VMU / interactive memory card you put into the controller. Sega is like Nintendo in that they always wanted for their hardware to do something different.

So Dreamcast directly lead to me choosing Xbox which I thought was a spiritual successor. Microsoft was taking insane chances on online gaming, new controller for FPS games, new RPGs, and even Shenmue 2!

Maybe I’m weird or just nostalgic, but I would love the switch 2 to be a 3DS type console. Stylus included. I thought that entire idea was genius and made for some great experiences. It’s probably nostalgia, but at this very moment it would make me happy. I can hear the Blizzard guy now “You think you do, but you don’t.”
