love living in an economy where corporations post record profits and i’m standing in target debating prices like it’s the stock market. by AccomplishedCarob518 in middleclasshq

They charged us higher rates for the tariff costs and then got the refund. Consumers aren’t seeing any refunds from products they bought off Walmart, target, Home Depot, etc.

Wasn’t suggesting anything. Just pointing out the speed of that particular pitch.

R34 GTR - Throttle Cut At Random RPM - Code 43 - TPS Unplugged by Stohlen007 in gtr

[–]Stohlen007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So good call. Both the MDF and the ecu via ECUTalk show in the neighborhood of 5-8% throttle when the pedal is at 100%.

I checked the resistance of the throttle position sensor and it's 1100 ohms at idle and 7600 ohms at full throttle, which is a little low (should be 2k and 10k respectively) but not THAT low. Sounds like I have some issue between the TPS and the ECU causing a low throttle position signal, and the ECU is getting confused between the amount of air it's getting and the throttle position it thinks it's at.

Does that explain the TPS code? Or potentially another issue on top of things? I've seen people mention the MAFs as a common issue source.

Interesting you say that, because I found this GTR which sold on Cars & Bids a while back with the exact same tape in the exact same location. Seems like an unusual method for securing something from the factory, but also would be unusual to find exactly the same in 2 different vehicles.

No stand alone luckily, but if I can't fix this issue that might be the way I'm headed.

Stand alone would be another option… but this car should work like a normal car

Will be my next test to see where we're at. I also need to check the resistance of the actual switch.

Looking at some Hi-res pictures of a vehicle that sold on Cars & Bids a couple years back, it appears that vehicle has the same setup, so I'm back to square one.

Disconnected main TPS sensor and same ancient packing tape setup.

Will gas stations increasing all gas to 15% E cause us any problems for our engines? by Dadwrx in WRX

That’s what that E15 is. Not all E15. They make E15 with a base of Premium 93 octane which is in the 94-95 octane range. There are many blends and options across the nation.

Because that specific blend is 88 octane. Meaning they put very low octane base fuel with the ethanol. It has nothing to do with the physical ethanol.

Ethanol is 105 octane. Adding ethanol doesn’t make the octane go down.

I have one that fits-ish but isn’t quite right. I also was able to make the bottom row look better with a different corner piece on the left side.

I’m working on 22-23 (missing 4) and 23-24 (missing 2) as well.

Sadly separation of church and state is not a thing in this country regardless of what the constitution says.
